Rep Power: 29 | MMj 12-step Recovery Meeting Here's what I want to know.. Hypothetically, if there were a weekly 12-step meeting for MMj patients and others sympathetic to medical needs in sobriety: A) Whom here on WT would commit to participating? B) If it were located at or near a co-op, which co-op would those of you wishing to participate, choose for the location? Please name your top three in order of preference. Base your choices on location convenience and whether you think the facility and operator are compatible with the idea. C) What day/time is best for you (list 1-3 date/time preferences. Meeting would probably be 1-1.5 hrs)? D) Where are each of you located who would be interested in this? (city & closest freeway exit) E) My work-in-progress name for this group may not be the best choice. "Meetings of the Medical-Marijuanically Marginalized" or MMMM Haha.. any other suggestions? F) If this is something you would like to be involved in, but are limited because of illness, lack of funds or a ride, or routine time constraints... please, rather than letting those factors prohibit you, tell us what's up and we'll try to accomodate. If this group gets off the ground it will be dedicated to those who by circumstance are already marginalized in Recovery. It should be our aim to make everyone who is remotely interested, feel welcome and able to attend. Thanks everyone, for your interest in this and your posts in this forum. I feel much better about my sobriety, knowing that with regards to Recovery and MMj, I am not alone. Peace |

Normally, Sunday at 5 would work for me, but I'm out of town this weekend. Other than that, I have regular meetings Tues 6:30-8 and Thurs 7:30-9. So those times are no good for me. We could still do the chat session Sunday at 5, I just wouldn't be able to make it, this Sunday. Well, who knows.. I might.. I'll be on the road but I'll have my laptop, so it's possible, if I'm near a hotspot. Dustin L. - Age 27 Off Meth since 1/6/05 Off Alcohol since 3/1/05 Became MMj patient 8/10/06 Same goes for me on the 24/7 phone availability. My # available via PM. Glenn, I'll send you mine and get yours too..

| Re: MMj 12-step Recovery Meeting Got it. I think we can start out with just a Chat Meeting.. Say Sunday 5pm to 6pm. It will be pretty much an Introduce yourself and a Short diatribe about you. Hey WT can we reserve the Chatroom for 1 hour? Of Course the Phone is always on if you need me. |

| Re: MMj 12-step Recovery Meeting Hmm...I don't really know enough about the chat room functionality to know if you can reserve the room, but you're welcome to use it when you need it. |

I just wanna be exercising and stick around on the earth for as long as possible. I know sobriety is better Even though I dont consider the herb to be a drug, people like myself are addicted and it messes peoples lives up both monetarily and physically. I started using it for my back pains and things got bad... I therefore will never renew I will miss all the WeedTracker Bredren |

MA did nothing for me. The general tone was "I was loaded all the time and wasted my life." Well my life was that I was loaded and had lots of adventures but it's hard for me to function in the religious community where I dwell...so have been trying to be clean. Ambivalence is my middle name. (I talked to some NA friends today and they seemed to give me "permission" to back to MJ.)
