Rep Power: 13  | Been down with influenza for three days Here I am, three days in this cold, and flu, runny nose, itchy throat, fever, muscle pains, and joints, taking chicken soup. Symptoms of a true influenza. I keep telling myself to smoke just a couple of hits or two, but my sane mind keeps saying, it will only make it worse, respiratory infection, etc. So this afternoon, I was going to take a bath, and decided to roll it up, and took a couple of hits before I go in the tub, and now, my pain is gone, runny nose stop, and fever is non-existent. BUT since I am not a scientist, then my claims are just nothing. BUT I am telling the truth. I feel so much better now. Oh, the bath definitely helped, but I smoked before I took a bath, and when I got in the tub, it was already subsiding.... Remember to just medicate.... Keep fighting the good fight, we are going to win this war!!! |

But the pain, and weak feeling is no longer there, so I think I can fight this cough head on. It's the weakness that makes people sick. My 9 yr old daughter who always helps me take care of my plants, says that if I stay active, I can better fight the sickness. And I thought for myself, well. cannabis makes me active, so I was able to fight it off much better. So now, I will try vaporizing to fight the cough, but everything is subsided. Thank you for caring... |

Rep Power: 18776      | Re: Been down with influenza for three days Are you sure it's not allergies? Man, I held off for three days then just rolled up something that works well for sinus headaches. It was worth a slightly worse cough just to have my sinuses dry up and that godawful three day headache disappear. DRINK LOTS OF WATER, as much as you can force down, it really speeds your recovery. If it helps, you're not alone, I went a meeting on Saturday and everyone was sick. Quote:

Rep Power: 528 | Re: Been down with influenza for three days im experiencing the same thing. ive been coughing up alota dark yellow flem and my lungs feel really weighted. when i cough, my lungs feel so sore, and i have these really weird waves of cold sweats that are driving me nuts. i cant take pharms or most antibiotics cuz ive got really bad gastric rejection. i have been able to keep some herbal supplements down tho- been trying goldenseal and echinaecia(however its spelled) with much success and relief so far. its acting like a great expectorant and relieving alota of my inflamation. my friend also gave me some 'juice plus' pills to try, its pure fruits n veggies and its supposed to be like mega antioxident and purge your system- but its only the 3rd day, so ill see how im doing by next week. alot of the edibles ive tried from places have either been too weak or have made me nautious, not because they taste bad, its just possible theyre old or something. im entirely too paranoid to think about 'smoking' right now, so im keeping my activity level down so hopefully i wont need to medicate as dilligently as usual. if some one could tell me where they offer fresh and reliable edibles on the west side that youve tried with success, please drop me a line- id really appreciate it. |

In my experience the best places for edibles were Peace Of Green in Torrance, and Purelife in Los Angeles. Matter of fact, I'm trying to head down this weekend to pick some up, since I can't smoke either. I hope you feel better bud. -lp |
