Rep Power: 0      | three fathers three fathers that's enough for anyone. most people only get one... me, i had three of them. none stuck around very long tho. which brings us to my mother... God knows she tried! She just couldn't make the grade. So they left, one-by-one each one in his own turn Letting me down not always gently. And so i became my mother's father's son (the one he always wanted!) Which made me my mother's brother, my sister's uncle, and so on. |

Rep Power: 57 | Re: three fathers As a single mom, that "poem" just reinforced everything I avoided putting my son through... I chose not dating as opposed to bringing someone in who wasn't going to stick around...my son's happiness and well being was more important than my having a boyfriend. |

Like, I looked past the words and saw all sorts of patterns with punctuation. I think it really conveys a broad range of emotion and perspective about this kind of mother-son relationship.
