Rep Power: 71 | I also have a dream... That one day we will work out this dilemma facing marijuana and society. I think much work yet has to be done, and I believe that we will one day get there. Hopefully it is sooner than later, but ultimately, if we get there, that will suffice. How many lives have to be destroyed, and how many families will be broken, all in the name of a dollar, or trying to prove who has more power. We will see in the end that this is something of such a trivial nature, and wonder why we ever let ourselves get so distraught over it. |

My feeling is that the next big issues in the civil/human rights struggle are MMJ and same-sex marriage. The big difference is that we may actually get some support from our elected leaders. |

That includes being responsible within environmental, social, ethical and political realms. Progress starts with the growth and contributions that each individual can acheive. The potential is great when people have a willingness to do what is right, and there are collaborative efforts unifying people, rather than policies that divide and separate people. I am hopefull that the oppression of particular groups, including those who partake in a ceremony with a historically significant plant in the herbal pharmacopia, ceases sooner than later. The collective conciousness and actions taken by each individual during this time makes a difference. |
