Current mood: determined Amazed at the changes taking place Who is this gal behind the face Who is this gal whos winning the race My life changing at a speedy pace I think of how I used to feel Never taking time for me I find it necessary to be selfish So I don't get sick you see? I don't think ive ever cared So much about just me Ive slowed down I smell the flowers For god has given me special powers To be strong To fight this beast I am a woman Who has been unleashed If I hurt anyone Who comes my way There is one thing I must say Its all about me so I see the next day So sorry that it has to be this way Cancer makes you selfish You care only for yourself All the other emotions Tucked neatly on a shelf My battle will last 4 months and a year For this I have no fear I will shed no tear I will only be clear And when this journey is over I will cheer And at cancer I will leer So after my shower While looking down 100 hairs falling to the ground Coming full circle In this cancer game I know it is temporary I feel no shame Cancer cancer how can you be so cruel You can kiss my ass cause gods my fuel!!! |

| Re: Falling Hair..Do I care? I love this. You are so right about having to be "selfish" to make sure you survive this. Many many good thoughts and wishes in this tough time. I enjoy your poems very much.  |
