get your favorite drawing software out because its contest time..

your mission is to design a weedtracker postcard. the postcard must meet the following specificiations:

4" x 6" (orientation is up to you)
1/8" margins on all sides
full bleed is ok (just remember the margins)
double sided
full color on both sides
must include ganja radar logo (found here: http://images.weedtracker.com/images/ganjaradar.tif)
300 DPI JPEG no gif, png, tiff or other formats. jpeg only..
(R) registered trademark symbol must be included
weedtracker.com must be large and visible
"california medical marijuana co-op news, reviews and photo menus" text must be included somewhere on the card
no specific co-op refrences, however you can say 'we have reviews of this location'


the rest is up to you... entries can be emailed to: admin [@] weedtracker [.] com

we will accept submissions until the end of march. at the end of march i will make small gifs of the entries and the community will vote on the winning design. the winning design will then be printed and distributed to the co-ops.

Havent you guys had enough of us complaining about co-ops sending cards to our houses? I feel like you guys want to make cards to send to my house....
Maybe its for co-op counters.... .... but whos to say they wont send them to whoever they want?

where have you been for the last forever? how are we going to mail a postcard to your house? come on now, dont make me call you something that rhymes with oopid. these are the postcards that sit on the counters at dispensaries, duh. besides we dont know any bodies mailing address so it would be really hard to send you something in mail. i suppose we could send 10 million postcards to everybody in sourthern california to guaranty that you got one to you.

please get your facts straight before you start making accusations about what were going to do with the postcards. i get really tired of having to fix the damage that such false statements cause.

WeedTRACKER has had postcards for a while now, i have yet to see any mailed out to a patient...we distribute them in the shop, it helps spread the word about our precious community and the information we share.....

Let me clear this up. WT has had cards since before I was even a member, we have always had them. The term POSTCARD is used universally to mean a certain size of printed promo material. Go check out an online print service for confirmation on that.

We don't have your address, and if we did, we wouldn't mail them. Almost every co-op has a promo card of sorts. Why is it this website should suffer for what others did, do you kick over the coffee table of promo materials when you go to clubs?

I am sorry but this is not at all fair, WT is trying to involve the users in this. It's called fun!

I think it's a little extreme to think any co-op would mail the postcard. It's just not a valid accusation. Why would a co-op pay to advertise for someone else?

But ON TOP OF THAT, if you got any kind of mailing, the responsibility would be on the person who had your address. On the sender. Which is not Weedtracker. They don't have your address!!

There has to be some kind of graphic design term for these things...you get them for clubs and parties and real estate and they aren't ever intended to be mailed. "High gloss small format card things."

I read threads many times b4 I post. I want to make sure I am stating my point clearly and concisely. I also read my reply many times b4 I post it.

Yes Z, thank you. I know wt has always had cards, I have seen them many places. No, this site should not suffer for anything anyone else has done. No, I would not kick over a coffee table at a co-op.
I guess I am misunderstanding this idea and the fun behind it.

Thank you LM, yes the cards are not designed/meant to be mailed. I have been to clubs/parties and picked up lots. So I do know how they look. But I have also seen them with blank lines for mailing.
ANYWAY, I am not posting in this thread anymore. I did not mean to cause such a stir. All I wanted to do was state my opinion, I didnt realize I would get chastised for it. Im not a big poster on this site. Nor am I looking to cause trouble/ controversy. If anyone wishes to respond to my comment, do so in a PM.
