I've found sativas to be most common for creativity, but I've only had access to heavy indicas like kushes in the past. What would my fellow artists on this site recommend for creativity?

Sativas get me to head crazy. They are however really good for creativity. But I find that using a moderate amount of an indica gets me relaxed and gets me more into a part of the instrument instead of just playing it if you understand my logic.

I like og for the strong immediate head change which gets my creativity going sour diesel seems to work well in the past aswell. I definitely agree though sativas generally work better for me creativity wise. I avoid strawberry cough and most haze though.

Mendocino Madness instantly pops into mind--it's a happy high that can find you myopically into whatever it is that you want to focus on. Great for writers, but also for visual artists as well.

Blowfish is yet another one that comes from a different perspective than Mendo Madness. If you're suffering anxiety and can't settle down to do anything seriously creative, definitely go to Blowfish, or Aphrodite.

The "blowfish" and "aphrodite" sound really appealing. I deal with anxiety during the day which I think leads to my insomnia at night. I'm an aspiring digital artist and graphic designer.
Where can I find these strains? Can you describe them any further?

I'd also be interested in anyone else's recommendations for a great, creative (but not TOO blasted) sativa heavy strains! (hybrid or otherwise)

for "work" style creativity (creativity for work/pay) I suggest trainwreck or green crack, which seems to keep up all night if i inhale regularly.

However, for more "fun" style creativity (writing scripts, etc) i like to hyrbid my smoke, so I can get the relaxing sensations of the indica, mixed with a mind fuel type of sativa. OG Kush, Herojuana and Jupiter (or any of the planet kushes) do best here in my opinion.

These strongly sativa strains sometimes add to my anxiety- but I've mostly experienced this if used during "work" work. At home, they might be effective, but I might just get too distracted. But perhaps if I made a mixed salad bowl with a hybrid....

A groin strain makes me creative because I am forced to sit in one place and tend to focus better that way.....Wait, do you mean cannabis strains?

Here is a back strain induced, Double OG soothed piece I did last week flat on my back.I call it "The Housing Bubble" or " Mort Gage steps out on the Face of Mickey Mouse on his way to a Foreclosure Liquidation Auction."

Ayup, these are photos I've taken of my own fish and worked into digital watercolors. It's kind of a "day in the life of a koi" thing...*LOL*

I grow the Blowfish and Aphrodite in my apothecary garden because I just can't find them up here in the boonies with any regularity, and I really depend on them to untwist the knots of anxiety when it starts to get out of hand. Aphrodite has been given the nickname, "Nighty Nighty Aphrodite" around here for her strong but lovely ways to relax ya out, body and mind. A bowl or two or a joint (if you can smoke all of it!) before bedtime will make you feel like you're floating in a cloud, making it easy to slip off into innerspace, and stay there happy as a clam. Blowfish will sit you right back, too, sometimes to stupidity if you over-indulge.

I'm not sure where you could find seeds or clones or a dependable source of cured medicine--I depend on a neighbor for my clones and he doesn't sell them.

Speaking of a great artistic high, have you tasted Kryptonite? OMG! I grew one this year that gave me a double harvest and man, She really is the competitor for my appreciation of anxiety reducing/heightened artsiness herb. Nice, nice, nice.....she was a clone present from another grower for me to try. I only have a half oz of her left (small plant) so I'm going to have to break down and buy more buds of that when I run out. *LOL*

African sativas - some have high amounts of THCV - this is haluciongenic - it is not found in many varieties - but it is found in Dutch Passion Power Plant -seed # 1401 & 1402 - one of these is feminized. Very homogenious variety - my favoite of all strains.

I have heard that Malawi Gold also is rich in THCV. I have yet to find the genetics, but I will not stop looking for her.

I have one other point - do not over ripen these plants as older than optomum is not good. I like the buds with mostly cloudy trics - some clear and a few (10% amber). This kind are higher in THC than the solid amber buds. Amber makes me tired and not very creative.

I suggest Power Plant for poets, artists, musicians, philosophers. I also suggest that those who just listen or read what is created, use any MMJ you like. Listening is not that creative.
