Hey guy just got my wisdom teeth removed. Gave me 5mg vicodin dont work at all due to large pain reliever use before marijuana healed my pain. Any suggestions on how to help with the pain. Would mixing a lollipop with these meds be fine. does anyone know if those could be dangerous at all for the open wounds? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated right now to get rid of this pain.

oooooh I'm so sorry! I had all four of mine pulled out at the same time and it was the most painful experience of my life. I stopped breathing during the surgery so they had to wake me up half way through it. I ended up getting dry sockets which complicated the matter even more. I ended up going through a bottle of Vicodin, Percoset, Norco, and then a few Demerols over the course of a week.


As far as combining opiates with cannabis, I think you're fine. I wouldn't do anything like a lollipop. Its not so much that its an open wound, its the sucking motion that will cause problems (did they tell you to avoid drinking with straws?). Perhaps something like a hash gel-cap would do you well. That is THE WORST thing you can do! It will dry up your holes and lead to infection. Try edibles.

Don't smoke anything! Dry socket is soooo painfull. I know what you're going through. It is the dullest pain that shoots through your whole head.

My suggestion is to stay plenty hydrated and keep those holes free of debri, if something gets caught in there, yeeoow!

Hope I was helpfull. edibles are really good for this reason, just be cautious of the dosage. (easy to over-dose if you aren't absolutely clear on potency.)

NO don't smoke and don't rinse your mouth with salt water either. and be really careful if/when you eat not to get anything into the opening.

i think you have that vicodin dosage wrong too. they come in 500 and 750 mg... you probably have the 500. check the label... it probably says to take two. and you have to take them BEFORE the pain gets bad.

and i always like a nice shot of bourbon with the vicodin. just ONE! you don't wanna kill yourself!

I got my wisdom teeth out a couple years back and ended up with bone infection that was treated as a dry socket; meaning they didn;t give me any anti-biotics just pain meds. This caused 2 of the most debilitating side affects which lasted for over a half a year. I am still not recovered mentally and can only look back and wished I hadn't been as active when I got them out in the first place.

When my wisdom teeth were removed I think I got empirin with codeine.
Never had the dry socket but heard they are a nightmare so not to smoke or get anything close to your wounds. Hang in there, the pain will go away.

You know how cig. smokers take a hit likes it's the last hit of the cig, sorry "F", well you sure can't do that... got to suck very gingerly .....a vape would probably come in handy right about now.

my wisdom teeth are starting to come through and cause some pretty bad pain.....
it is so irritating to have your face hurting all day. After reading these stories of worse pain to come, im gettin pretty nervous. im glad i already have a vapo.

Agreed w/ above definitely do not smoke and do not go sucking on lollipops. Bad news and could lead to dry socket, which others have told you above is something akin to hell.

Edibles are the way to go here. I've heard there are THC pills but I've not seen them anywhere that I normally go. Try a soda, maybe. Just be extra careful eating and drinking not to get stuff in there. It sucks to have to eat/drink so gingerly, but dry socket sucks way more.

Given that dry sockets are something we want to avoid, I don't think vaporizing would be a good idea.

However, I asked my buddy Owen (who just got back from the Lynch trial), who says that his friend who had his wisdom teeth out used his Volcano and inhaled the vapor through his nose, which was quite effective.....

If you gotta use your herbs, that'd be the way to do it, lest it makes you worse!

I have one wisdom tooth growing in and so far there is no pain. Do you think I should get it removed? I dont think I want to have to go through all that pain though.

No, Vicodin is a mix of Hydrocodone/Acetaminophine and 500mg is the ammount of Acetaminophine, which is tylenol, while 5mg sounds like it is the dose for the Hydrocodone. Don't smoke. Try edibles. If you're lucky a hash gel-cap might work but they haven't worked on me before. Best of luck and a speedy recovery.
