Rep Power: 538 | Since I've run out of Topamax, I'm now getting Migraines DAILY. I desperately need the Topamax, since it PREVENTS them from forming, and I can only get out of bed for perhaps 6 - 8 hours a day right now. Filling out paperwork on being poor, sure I qualify for Disability with what is happening - my body is overwhelmed. So, for those of you who've had headaches and wonder what the difference is between that, and a Migraine? THIS is what it feels like to me tonight; started from flourescent lights in the HOUSE: Imagine this: someone has rammed an arrow through the base of your skull, coming out from between your eyes, then pain radiates to my temples; it then feels like the Jolly Green Giant has broken open the top of my head, and eating my brains out with a large metal spoon, causing electrical shocks every time he dips it into my brain box! AAAAAAAAARGH! A headache just hurts the front of my head...Migraines feel like I'd rather have a bullet to stop the pain! Actually, joke is, that Magnum.org is the Migraine site, :slaugh: Even that makes me feel better, to be honest. Anyway, I'm going in to the doctor tomorrow, with everything off track, so he can visibly SEE how bad I'm doing (when off of everything, ouch). Between Migraines, Fibromyalgia, 8 blown discs in neck and back, Restless Leg Syndrome, IBS, things I can't even recall - I don't understand HOW they can say I'm okay to work a normal job, when the frickin' lights set me off! I tried to work low end of what I'm worth an hour last month, and barely lasted 3 days...I was heavily, heavily medicated, and all anyone did to me was complain at how SLOW I was. I have a MIGRAINE, which part of that do you not comprehend!? I actually worked (get this), under a SPACE SHIP, for 3 days!! Boyfriend is sick and tired of me being in pain, when he knows I can draw beautifully...been in the comic book business for over 2 decades, and now I'm brought down by constant PAIN. MMJ Sativa really helps me during the day, and Indicas at bedtime. Athsma kicking in, so I need to find a Vape I can scrape pennies together. Been 5 YEARS incapacitated like this, I lost a high paying job because of all this, and won a lawsuit over my accident (bozo won't pay), so I guess I'm just RANTING against the WALL o' Pain! Thanks for listening, I feel a little better after typing this. Migraines also make me lose my dinner, so I'm a wee bit hungry. Just worn out, but I never give up...just take nappies. - Absynthe |

Rep Power: 4310 | Re: This is what a Migraine feels like to me... I to suffer from migraine headaches. I take 10 mil of zomig and when this doesn't work I vape, then I vape some more. I keep going until my eyes just will not stay open. When I wake up usually my headache is history. Thats my story, and I am sticking to it. I don't have them much anymore thanks to SGDP, SUPER BUBBA, just to name a few. I wish you the best God can give. I forgot to tell you what a migraine feels like. My best explanation would be when your head starts throbbing you want to bang it on the wall. Or it feels like your head is going to explode and you are just walking in circles wondering what to do with your self. Last edited by Big K R; 11-12-2008 at 12:39 AM.. |

Rep Power: 538 | Re: This is what a Migraine feels like to me... Big K R, that's a pretty good explanation! I don't wish one on anyone - just felt perhaps we'd all find comfort in explaining it to each other (for those of us who DO suffer them. I was rediculous, but it felt good). |

Rep Power: 27688 | Please consider asking your doctor to refer you for an EEG to check for epilepsy. I have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy which doesn't cause the shakes but does cause migraine and is sensitive to the low frequency oscillations of florescent lights. |

Rep Power: 538 | Re: Siezure & Migraines I am going to see another neurologist - had one EEG ran, as a teen, that's all. Happa, I've had one bonafide seizure that I'm aware of, because it happened at a friend's nightclub. I had a reaction to the slow, rotating mirrorball, and was losing thought, just staring into space. Friend of mine shook me, and I felt nauseated, so sat me down. I just remember being hypnotized or something by the mirrorball, unable to look away from it. I sped it up a little bit, and no more issues with it. Did get a nasty migraine, and had to leave, which bummed out my boyfriend. - Absynthe Last edited by Absynthe; 11-14-2008 at 03:28 PM.. |

I only get migraine when it's really bad. I refrain from describing it because it nauseates me (just a little) to think about it. Note that the alcohol one consumes in night clubs is known to trigger siezures in epileptics. Alcohol is an absolute Do please see a neurologist Abysynthe. Only an EEG can tell for sure. And then please do post your outcome. I'm all ears and I think a lot here would benefit. | |
