About 5 years ago, i found what i thought was a very good DR for my primary care and pain DR as well, he then sent me to specialist's to due all kinds of MRI and CTS, and they found my right shoulder needed a complete replacment, but no one will do surgery, as i have Hep c and severe complications of low platlet count and in ineed of a blood transfusion, as of right now i have a very bad tooth but noone will touch me due to that! so i suffer! and now i have such severe neropathy that i have mucel wasting and my nerves are dying and very painfull to withstand,, oterporius Arthritus, i can;t use my hands anymore hardly and writing this is not fun for me!, but i have to tell someone for the past year this DR has called me in to discuss politic's his brothers smokeing problem, his marrage, afer sitting in room full of sick people three times in a row, i come to pick up my persripetions and they are wrong, he cut my methadone back without taking to me about, twice he;s done that, after we taked to him about it and he said everything was fine! he did it again after two months he forgets about now he cut me back to 120 amonth from 270 amonth, wow am i going to get sick, i thought that they had to slowly take you off this stuff, he put me on it , i had never had these kind of opieate;s he put me on oxycontin too, and i have Dgernative disk decsease. how can they do this to me, i just came off of 125 micograms of fenytal 5 momths ago and and i am stablizing on my pridnazone and my dieabetes, and now he wants to change thing 's again and i don;t want to put my body threw anymore changes right now, but he cut my methadone back so much i called another pain DR to cover and i feel i should compalin about this guy, he does this every two to three months he called me once at home cause he misunderstood, that my ammionia level was what was killing me at that time, he calls me on the phone and say's [you don;t have cancer, and i said i never said that, i said they were looking for it the cancer marker is up in my blood, what an asshole called me a lier till he found it! he going nuts with all his pressure, i'm going to see another DR next week with all that wrong with you would think they would want to make me comfortable, he never looks at my chart, and says i only have carpull tunnel i was told it was something eles and just some lower back pain, he missing all the MRI and CTs of my right shoulder and my back and neck and lungs and i have a fibroid tummer in my uterus and a sisk on my right overie, one torn ligament in my right knee and my left the same, i broke a bone in my neck and i broke my right shoulder well fractured it and they missed on the xray and it healed over by it;s self, i don;t what to do about this DR he was gung ho to help and now he thinks i[m drug seeking and i have never been early or anything,], what to do with him!!! i feel like he inappropreiate with us!! yea i know what you mean!, stanford truned me down to be on the transplant list becuse my ammonia level was so high he claimed i was drinking and i had drank in over 5 years and my counsel confrimed it but i looked to good, and he sent me away, and didn;t even tell me i was in danger and that i had hepatic Encepghlopthy, of the brain, very dire brain infection, my brother in law died from it, they didn;t tell him about the ammonnia level and he died in his sleep he just never woke up! and that what happens to me i just drop off for no reason, but now i am on the last antibotic for it, so when this stops working i will last awhile but not long! then i was sent to UCSF to see if they would help me and noone would take my case, to complicated, bad stats. they say i would never make it threw it, and would need another in a year and i have the worst geno type

First, remove your MRIs, and any other scans - YOU own them, along with duplicates of all your charts, etc.

I don't have any compassion whatsoever for moronic doctors; he went to college, and is now paid to do his job. Sounds like he's on the phone too much, like many hairdressers are, instead of paying attention TO THEIR PATIENTS!

I question ALL doctors, always have. If they don't like it, I kick them to the curb, and go on to the next one, no joke!

I've been to UCLA Neurological Department; they saw how messed up my spine and neck are. After they took their $500, I saw the #2 doc there, and he simply glanced over my chart, peered at me, scoffed at me - then literally CHASED two interns down the hallway!

Think I take him seriously back!? No bloody way, especially after it took me a month to weedle my way into that place, then treated like a side of meat.

Doctors need to pay close attention to who they see, what is wrong with us, and keep up the proper treatments. When they are UNFIT to do thus, we have every right to FIRE THEM!!

please forgive my writing, my nerophty is so bad my hands hurt alot and my supid dr messed up the amount of meds, he added up my meds wrong and didn;t give me enough methadone to make to the 29th, he shorted me 150. all i needed was 30 but we were right there and told him he was wrong but his dam ego got in the way, this is what he told me about methadone, when he went to put me on it, i told him i didn;t want it, that i had heard it was a nasty drug to come off of, he say's it has the least amount of side effects of opiates, and will do the least amount of damge to my liver, now !!! he say it will hurt my encepphlopthy of the brain,,, what is just when it's convinent for him that. it's ok one time and when he wants me off it he tells me it;s bad for me. what gives, he recorded his oun record's twice, what a dumb ass, now i have to suffer, he won;t be in till tues, thats 4 days of withdraw, no DR to back him up i called the clinic and no one will fill it, but him and he';s gone till tues, i;m going to a lawyer, to see if the can do that to me. this is not the frist time. but it's the last, after i get my scripe i'm fireing him!!! thanks for all you support everyone see ya endlesssky

well, i had to go back and see him again since he made a mistake in his adding, and i ran out weeks early due to his bad math, really got sick and i am on a pain contract with him so noone will help me, if he is not around. so he came in and started to tell me i was wrong, we brought the printout from the phamacey all the back to a year, to show how much he gave every time for a year!! he goe's woops,, then he start's in about the amount he;a given me, and i looked at him and he was crying a bit, he told me then about three patients he recently almost lost due to encepulopthy, when your ammionia level raise'es then you go into demtia, then coma, well one guy was in icu for 20days and would'nt wake up, and he feel reposiable for it because he had them on pain meds and felt that it contributed to it, and is terrfied it will happen to me, that he went over zelous, and with a tear in his eye asked if would let him referr me to pain managment, so i let him off the hook. he's a young DR and i think he just got his frist mistake, but i feel it 's more of the ammioia level because i know of a lot of people just don;t wake up my brother in law was one, he wasn't on anything and died in his sleep due to his amminia level, so i think my DR went off the deep end of the pool, but i understand, he's gun shy now, so i will let off the hook and go see another DR, the one i saw last time. so maybe everything will work out in the end, i know i feel better tonight, ive' been so sick since sunday, with chill 's and vomiting, so off to bed i go!! see ya have a wonderfull day Endlesssky

get this, you ready?, i swear i can't win! got the results of the sleep study, from the pulmanaligist, my lung DR, i stop breathing 40 times in an hour!!!!! and my oxyegen level drops to low and i don;t even i wake up, every two secounds or so, he said i have not slept for years, and it's like haveing a bell go off by my ear every two secunds and wake up!! he told me i had to wear this mask thing but that sound's better than surgery! were they will scrape my thrort and take out every thing in the way! hanging down!, and i am a bad canadate for surgery due to my blood disorders,anyway, my throut relaxes and closes up, not my pain meds, and that DR didn;t say one thing about what meds i was on and i made sure he saw all of them. i do not want to die in my sleep, so i cut down my methadone by one, and next week or two i will cut back alittle more, till i make a signiacant changein the amount, i will see how much pain i can take!, and i will take a look at what the other DR has to say about this, i think my other DR got real gun shy, but who can blame him, he had a hell of a scare, but i love him anyway . atleast he told me what happened and didn;t let me think i did something wrong!! i did it all right!! he just got scared is all, i must accept the fact that he is human too and will make mistakes sometimes!! but love him anyway!! see ya and have a good day!!!! I have educated all my doctors about MMJ. I always bring a book on the subject when I have to see a new doctor. So far, NONE of my doctors have advised against it. They all take the time to listen to me educate them. They usually ask to borrow my books then ask for more the next time I see them.

Comorbidity is a killer in itself. Unfortunately things get very complicated when the liver fails. Ascites and encephalopathy surely follow. The encaphalopathy (hepatic encephaloapthy) is a result of the liver's inability to filter the ammonia. The ammonia accumulates and it unfortunately does induce dementia (very much like an elderly person) of sorts as it deteriorates the brain. There are drugs that reduce ammonia (lactulose), but then you run into dehydration as lactulose gives diarrhea (i.e. not a long term solution). You are a victim of numbers which unfortunately are stacked against you. At the very minimum, I would seek out a new php that is more compassionate towards your prognosis. Pain mgmnt is essentially his only role now and you would expect that he would be liberal with your meds. MMJ may very well be your best medicine as it is liver friendly. Maybe you should introduce him to MMJ for his anxiety.

That's ironic because I have heard from a few very credible friends that UCLA and USC pain clinics are verbally recommending mmj, although they won't write a rec - they'll tell you to go get one elsewhere. Unbelievable!!!

This whole pain managment seems like its a game to doctors. I have experienced some very terrible doctors so far. For pain managment a while ago all the doctors were happy to give you anything they could to get extra money(whether you really needed it or not). Then a bunch of them got busted for doing it so carelessly.After that I was told everywhere I went that Im a drug addict. I have many different forms proving my status but nobody wants to get in trouble. Does that mean they won't try to help anymore unless you don't require any meds?I guess thats why i switched to marijuana so i can try to help myself.

I'm the person who walked into her new sleep doctor with a 3 page agenda and personal history of things I wanted to make sure I covered in my first visit. He got a kick out of me.

hey sky for suture reference methadone has a 36 hour half life so you might be able to stercth your doses out more its what i do as i am on methadone and have had my drs short me when their offioce was closed leaving me in hella pain which is when i learned this and only take the methadone every 36hours or when i feel my body starting to withdraw

Pain Management Dr's have a tough job. They have to decide which poisons work for you, and if you are addicted to them. Big Pharma markets them hard. If my kids want to be doctors, my older one has mentioned that, I would try to steer them into a less stressful speciality.

hey, there, they did put me on Cpap, seem 's i stop breathing about 40 time's a nite, with low oxyagen levels, but unfortunatly we found out my eardrums are collapsed and my sinus is all jacked up! that i can't breath well with it on. my pain DR refured me to a pain specialist i had before but the dam refural never got there, and it's been a mouth, so i called them seveal times , but they never retured my calls!! so i made another appt with the same pain DR , till it goe's thur, they said i have a pain disorder. i have real pain, not imagine pain.. i feel like i have a real fight on my hands., wish me luck Endlesssky :partysmile:

endlessky I can tell you right now kick those f"ers to the curb,get up AND WALK OUT.write them a check and cancel payment. if they give you a bad time,or don't address your needs.now, I am caretaking for a person whos blood sugars went so high;she slipped into coma for two months.her tendons pulled inward,and she has limited range of motion in her hands,arms,and legs.
she has made incredible progress,but remains the mental equivalent of a small child.she doesn't remember she needs to take insulin with food,and has given her self brain damage by blood sugars rising to over 400.we now have locks on pantries and refridgerators.
the national assocaiation of diabetes is killing you.I strongly recommnd reading dr.bernsteins book on diabetes.we no longer serve fruit,and have limited the carb intake to 30 grams a day.stay away from the crap high on the glycemic index,and take milk thistle,pure dessicated beef liver pills,cq-10,and cholrophyll (plant extract)you should see about lyerica to arrrest your diabetic neuropathy.if you can resrict your food intact hopefully your body will respond favorably.I hope your liver is not to far gone,I'm not being to presumptive,and that this really helps you.
and only a self annoited english troll would care about your punctuation,and also given the fact my mom is amazed I can understand the language at the drive thru without complaint.

well, i thank you for you support and kind word's, now i went to get some physical theaphy, and they put me in a program and told me if i miss one day they will drop me off my pain meds and kick me out tf the program, even tho i am terminal ill and my legs are infected i have to bring a note from my primary care dr, to prove to them i am sick , what am i some kinda junkie, the DR told me to tell the nurse to fit me in the next day for a scripe and i call and she just practily calls me a liar and say's the DR never said that, oh then tells me to get there in 10 min. so i can be seen so i fly down the freeway, i live in a whole different town, and get there in time and they tell me to bad i have to wait over an hr, but it's my fault since i didn;t call sooner than 10am, my bad, now he took me off 60 mg oxycontin and took me off 20 mg methadone at once, i still have 60 of methadone and 60 of a new drug called OPANA IR ... it give;sme a hell of a head ache, i wanted to come off the methadone, thats forsure, but not so fast, and i still want the oxy, but he seems to be treating for fibrmyalgia, and i have Degenative disk disorder in spine and neck and osteroporosis, arthitis and neropthy hepc, liver cirrohous, 3 blood disorders, and need a right shouder replacement, but not a good candate. so i have real pain, but he would not take my record's , he declined and siad he was treating me for fibramyalgia, this sucks, why won;t they listen to me and why are the threathing me i am immune defectaint and will get sick i am on a steriod for addisons decease and it lower's my immune sysytem. which is why my legs are infected with celutius and are weeping yellow fluid and i need to put them up more but they have left me no time to care for my self,, i freckin hate this!! i sure walked into the wrong DR office this time!!!!!!!! wish me luck Endlesssky:tortue-musique::partysmile::wheel chair:

lyerica will make me swell up and i am already really swollen, my legs and feet have 3 plus adema and have yellow fluid weeping from a scrach i got from my dog. my leg is very infected , i have already gone threw one antibotic, so tommrow we will see what he doe's, i hope i don't have to go to hosptal for iv antibotic's, but i am loseing weight and prednazone got me to 250 lb, now i am 2 39lb and still dropping, i eat alot of mango's and water and honey nuts and oat's ceral, and some french dip cause my teeth are rotting out of my face due to so many med's i take over20 to 30 pills three time;s aday.. diruritic's and colace and pain meds and constant antibtioc's for my brain infection and that's three time s aday. so my teeth and i don;t have much saliva massive cotton mouth to deal with all the time!! but thank you so much for your kind word's of encouragement. they mean the world to me, i need all the postive reenforcement i can get!! well here we go again! ear nose and thrort say's i have a devated septum in my right nostrill and is why i can't use the Cpap machine, now comes surgerey. great, just what i wanted . but thank god my platelet count came back to normal, they can't figure out how i do that, i just came off of oxycontin cold trukey and i am opana and methadone 60 mg aday instaed of 80 a day, i am haveing a hard time without the oxy's,, dam it, i woke up in so much pain tonite and last nite, i scream trying to get out of bed to pee and can't make it to the bathroom anymore, how embassering, now i have to go back to depends again. my primary care wrote me a letter to give to my pain dr to give me two weks off due to fatugue and illness, what a guy, i love this dr he's the only good one i have, he's has to put me back on the prednazone, the other med did not work to good for me and made me sick, so my immune system will be shot again and now i don't know if i can travel anymore , i know when i was on this before i could n;t travel at all, that's how i come to LA to get my meds,,,,, man i so did not want to go back on that messed up drug, but their are not any more, it's this or die!! without i will surly die!! they have already told me that. dam the man i say!! man it hurts to know you have to take something that shortens your life and will make you sick in the long run! i'm very tired of all this back and forth stuff, will they ever just let me live and leave me alone, to die in peace and in relatively no pain, but i feel they are going to make me suffer, but my primary care will not stand for them to treat me that way, which i why i have him in place!!,,,, i love and trust him very much, he;s from illonosis, not from around here!! he's just a darling. i got very lucky to get him and his wife!! see ya have a great day today, see ya same bat channel same bat time!!!
