Granted, those with chronic pain often fall into those categories, there should be a wider perspective. I'm in my twenties and I've had chronic pain for a great length of time. I'm terribly poor, I work as much as I can, despite the pain, I don't own a television, and I honestly have less than a handful of friends that I talk to regularly. Most of my interactions occur between my treatment providers. I know that studies focus on the majority of those who suffer, I just wish they could include others outside of those categories. |
