let's talk about laughter and pain management

at discuss laughter yoga and the benefits of laughter, briefly in other threads, but I'd like to hear more discussion on laughter in pain management.

From the book, the secret:

Cathy Goodman, from the video, cured herself of breast cancer in three months without radiation or chemotherapy with gratitude, face, and laughter.

Quote:
this beautiful and inspiring story from Cathy Goodman demonstrates three magnificent powers in operation: the power of gratitude to heal, the power of faith to receive, and the power of laughter and joy to dissolve disease in our bodies.

Kathy was inspired to include laughter as part of her healing, after hearing about the story of Norman Cousins.

Norman had big night nose with an "incurable"disease. The doctors told him he I just a few months to live. Norman decided to he own self. For three months, all he did was watch funny movies and laugh, laugh, laugh. The disease left his body in those three months, and the doctors proclaimed his recovery miracle.

As he laughed, gnome and release all negativity, and he released the disease.. Laughter really is the best medicine
share laughter therapy with us, please.

thanks for asking, but I must warn you of not MMJ expert. There are others on here than I regarding strain and pain. you might wanna start your own thread, to get feedback. Hopefully they will add their suggestions.

I'd been experimenting with strains and consumption methods lately to find what works best for my pain.I'm a light weight and I usually stay away from indicas but I bought LA Affey 1. and mostly smoke at night, but have also been experimenting with smoking a little bit of it with either snowcapp or sour D during the day. I really like the effect so far, my body feels more relaxed and not drowsy and SATivas keep me happy. and I adjust seeped African sun in soy milk, it didn't get high but my body feels good.

Non-MMJ related, I have found that skelaxin for muscle spasms, without the harsh side effects.I hope this helps.

comfort and relaxation for all,
DQ

The absolute guru of this stuff was a gentleman named Norman Cousins, who was a philosopher who was actually a professor, (I believe) at the UCLA medical school, tho not a doctor! He had a very serious illness which he treated by watching things like Marx Bros. movies and laughing for lengthy periods before anybody in the straight medical community would admit that stuff like this helped. Some of his books may still be in print. He is a wonderful writer. Check on Amazon.

I record TV comedy stuff to watch and laugh out loud, daily, just for this purpose. And, you know what? It works. That plus MMJ really helps with chronic pain imho-- one day the Feds will actually admit it!!

There are so many different ways to stimulate laughter....Anyone else got any laughter examples?
