Rep Power: 0 | Endometriosis I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 18, and have suffered greatly through all 6 surgeries in the last 7 years. By the end of my pain-pill days, I was prescribed 90 oxycontin and 120 Percocet per month, and at 25, I was taking them all. I was bloated, sleeping 15 hours a day, and I hadn't felt any real emotions for years. I had to detox. My husband and I were interested in having a baby, and I knew my body had to be rid of the poisons, so for 2 weeks, I shook, I vomited, I hallucinated, I couldn't sleep, it was no different than coming off of heroin, my pain "specialist" told me. When I "came to", I was no longer addicted to the pills, but I could feel every twinge of pain, and was back to having days I couldn't walk. I tried an edible. I consider my life changed from that moment. I have become a Medical Marijuana advocate, a pioneer. I have felt the joys of having a baby, truly FEELING every emotion that life brings. I now own and operate a Non-Profit, Mutual Benefit Statutory Co-Op in the Antelope Valley. We are currently delivering, and you can become a member by calling 661.944.2227. We also own and operate a hydroponic shop in the Antelope Valley to support our members in growing their own medicine. Pain is tolerable now, and life is magnificent. I would be without options without Medical Marijuana and I am proud to be a part of this community. Stacey - New Leaf Family, Inc. |

Rep Power: 11017 | Re: Endometriosis An old roommate of mine had pretty severe bouts with endometriosis (one time having to go to the hospital in an ambulance). She also suffered from having really crappy doctors (most of them told her that the pain she was having was "normal" and she should just take midol or some other OTC medication. Last time I talked with her she had the endometriosis pretty much under control (I think high levels of birth control hormones for a long time) and was thinking about having kids. Good luck with your businesses, sounds like you are in it for the right reasons. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Endometriosis I am sorry to hear of your friend's struggles, I understand entirely how it feels to be looked in the face and told that the pain that makes it unable to walk is "all in your head". I hope she enjoys continued pain relief. Thanks for the kind words. . . Stacey |
