I felt like I was 9 years old, the way he treated me. I really, really couldn't do anything, my Migraine had me curled up in a dark room.

What did the doctor think I had? "Oh, you don't have a Migraine; it's a tension headache." I then went quietly into how it begins at the base of my skull, how ice can often stop it in first stages. He still wasn't buying it. I then went into my AURAS, and that caught his attention!

Geez, I can't afford the Topamax, and I had to go off it; 1 + 1 + 2, but in his little world, ONE!

He's not the doctor who originally treated me; that one died, after helping me, bless his soul and heart. I'm still upset; he said I need to see a Neurologist and Rheumatologist, and he's cutting me off Norco/vicodin!! Without that, I can't even get out of bed except to pee, PERIOD. I hurt so bad last night when the Fibro pain rolled in, that I had to be CARRIED to my room from the art studio!! My Peripheral Neurapathy hurt where ever I stepped, and I just wanted to sleep on my drafting table than move...boyfriend felt I deserved a real bed, thank goodness.

Just feel like need a new doctor; my cousin sees him, and I guess he feels we're a bunch of addicts or something (Yeah, something - say, 3 family members are on MMJ in addition to me, with me being the first one to get my rec!! Now they have them, too. My big brother is 6'4" tall, and he broke his back a few years ago.)

I'm just devastated, that I went through the trouble to get him my Pain doctor's file, and now he wants to dump me off on Specialists...been down that way before, and last Neurologist charged $500 for 5 min. appt., then chased interns down the hallway, at UCLA! 2nd top Neurologist for the entire place, and he's a freakin' nutjob! Of course, his idea was to shoot my back and neck up with Cortisone, to stop the Fibro pain, hahahahahah - NOT funny.

I guess I have to find another doc, who will take MSI (Was told I don't qualify for Medicare/medicaid, too young, don't have kids, etc.). I need Disability badly - I can't work to save my own life.

Thanks for listening, I'm just going to have some MMJ later, just been trying to calm down. Gotta go to my friend's doc with him now.

hope you feel better and get your pain medication . Half of the doc's thses days suck ass plain and simple . They DONT care about you one bit . Get a new doc or see a pain management doc . I also have migraines , and doc's ask how do you know its a migraine ? well how do YOU know doc that it isnt . pain sucks .

How horrible, I kind of know how you feel. My new (ok, not anymore I've fired him) doc first appointment went a similar direction. I had a horrible muscle cramp episode that left me swearing under my breath in pain, contorted on the examining table for 20 minutes, and he was just like, oh having a cramp? Then he went back to browsing the internet as I'm writhing in pain. I don't think he believed me at all, prescribed medication that's been banned for over a year then on a follow up to get a different prescription he tells me to buy the banned shit overseas or on the internet. And refused to prescribe anything else. And then tells me that "I think MMJ is helping me but isn't not doing anything, probably making things worse".

I'm still livid when I think about those 2 appointments. He thinks I'm a liar, I think he's a bigot (not getting into those details), and basically is refusing to help me. And people wonder where my distain for most doctors comes from. It was only a tiny consolation that I got a call to do a survery about my experience at that office and I let him have it good. No one should be made to feel like a liar trying to get help from a doctor.

Hope you can find a better doc, I'm having no luck as of yet.

my god, i'm so sorry your going thu this, i finally found a good dr but their not perfect either! and still make mistakes, , but way better than the others that just ignorned me and told me it was in my head, and i have DDD, digerative disk decease, and ostroarthrius and i know about te nerophty mines real bad too, they tried a new med on me this week for it, i'll let you know if it works, and man do i feel for you my partner gets migrianes, he DR has a standing order for her at te hospital for a shot and he give sher NORCO also, he must be sadistic to do this to you, after all your records indicate that you ave them for GOD sake my primary care DR won't do my pain meds for me, at all, he says i'm allready to complacated for him to keep up with, he s haveing me do a hida scan tommorw he thinks my GAll bladder need s to come out and i think he's right, but the test i have to take dye and everytime they put dye into me i get very sick and i mean way sick, so hes say's i think you have dye phobia, which hurt my feeling's becuase i have sick phobia, i don't like to get sick and it takes me months to get better, my liver very simply cannot filture dye, i tried three CT scans for them with dye and it almost killed me the last time, my ammunia level went up for 2 months, and it knocked out my antibotic for my brininfection, so now their is only one med left and i am on it, if this knocks this out, i go to 6 mo to one year left, their won't be anyway to conrtoll my ammoinia level and it will just go up till i go into a coma and go to sleep and not wake up, so i don't want to do it! so he promised me it would not hurt me, yeah well, i don't belive that BS, but i'm going to do in the morinning, so wish me luck that i don't get sick, anyway i will pray for you and hang in there ok, stay up man, dam the ,man Endlesssky:partysmile:

My wife went through similar issues with doctors in the past. Mostly with migraines and depression. The problem now is that we don't have insurance and because I own a business (even though its not making any money) I don't qualify for much. My kids can get on Healthy Families (thank God!) but me and my wife are screwed until business either picks up or fails completely. I've never had a migraine but I see what it does to my wife ....no bueno!!

She gets them at least once a month, twice this month, for days at a time. I have to give her props for getting up and getting the kids off to school in the mornings. She's my lady!!

Let me just say Dr's are stupid! I hate them... I broke my spine and now I have a triple level fused back - that isn't one bit better prior to when it was fused. I had always hoped one of the Dr's would be a Dr that cared, but not in the real world. If they don't know what to do.. they won't help you. This is not the movies or "house" in which you get a superior Dr that puts everything they got into figuring out how to help you. They don't give a shit!

I stopped going to them.. fuck em they can't do shit .. and Vicodin... is like shooting BBs at a armed tank in regards to serious pain. They are a punch of punks. If they won't give you Vicoden for your pain.. get a lawyer. You have a right to pain relief. Or we can just get a group together drive a dump truck into a Pharmacy and take what we need.

one more thing : DO NOT EVER LET SOMEONE ELSE TELL YOU HOW YOU FEEL IN REGARDS TO YOUR PAIN. that is a line that should not be crossed... I don't stand for it. No one should. If you are in pain.. the last thing someone should do is question it. I could go on for days regarding this but it kind of makes me mad and I'll stop here.

I feel like this all to often, god I'm sorry you deal with this, but in a small way I'm glad it isnt just me ya know. It really seems like doctocs think a migraine patient is automatically a drug seeker. I've had migraines since I hit puburty, thanks mother nature, 15 years of pain and doctors lookin at you like you're a liar is horrible. My doctor wont even put me on anything but preventive meds, topamax and calan, I dont even get norco or anything, i just sit in pain, daily. I have another neuro apointment today, I've done some reseach about this last bout of migraines thats been with me nonstop since april and the doc needs to do something. if not I dont know what else to do:( Anybody else lives just really suck because they are not belived? Someone want to recomend a good migraine doctor for me? I cant do this. It's been a real hard couple days.
