Rep Power: 562 | Re: Back Pain I've been getting injections in my lower back and si joint. Waiting for surgery. Along with hydrocodone and methadone i use marijuana to treat for my pain. The strains that help me the most are the indica dominant hybrids. I feel the sativa is a necessary part of pain treatment. I love the hybrids because the sativas hit your head it numbs or dulls the pain nerve receptors in the brain then, the indica gets your whole body and leaves you feeling floating and relieves joint pain.... At least thats how i feel anyway. So i like 20% sativa minimum, up to a 50i/50s. Try: Sensi Star Cat Piss Sour Diesel Diesel BLack russian XXX purple erkle hogg bubblegum <---just for it's strength Blueberry kush Headband <--- my favorite for lower back, very strong high. Og kush Platinum Those are a few that i like for the back pain, but make sure they are good grows before purchasing anything. If it's grown poorly the effects may be just as poor. They should be covered in crystals and stink to the smell. |

Rep Power: 42942 | Re: Back Pain Back pain wasn't controllable for me until I started edibles. The edibles relieve the back pain during sleep but the smoke did not. The smoke just puts me to sleep. I use a variety of sativa dominants, indica dominants, and indicas for smoke and and edibles for sleep...some sativas get me sleeping, weird. But, for sure, edibles. Every night about an hour before bed. |

Rep Power: 42942 | I tried the chiropractor. It helped initially, but the problem was in getting sleep and long-term relief. Even after adjustments, it was too painful to sleep through the night. And, adjustments made me feel great, initially. Then, after getting healed via the chiropractor, rest, good nutrition, and exercise, as soon as I started moving again, whamo -- back out, bad. It wasn't until after I started edibles that my back stopped going out and then it seems to have healed after I started getting rest from the edibles. BUT, I tried not using edibles and the back pain and spasms started as soon as I stopped using edibles and then whamo, my back went out. The recovery was quick...I TOOK EDIBLES and the back healed again. I am now doomed to edibles until a better technology comes along. I'll try tapering off again and see if my back is further healed. FYI, I have a popped sacroiliac joint and a compressed L-5 vertebra, so my back is always out of alignment no matter how well I'm adjusted, and...no chiropractor can fix that or I wouldn't need the edibles! |

I have had bad back spasms for years...and do find that edibles work very well for relaxing my body. The best that has worked for me and that I actually like the taste of and can eat. is Mom's medibles "Fubar" or "O" as I have seen them called. I have a pet nick name "coma cookies" because of the effect it puts on me. They also put out a canna balm that I have used religiously now for over 6+ months. Great for many ailments. aches, pains, arthritis, I use for also skin conditions that I've had all my life on my feet and hands. ...

If you must medicate via smoking, I find that the most effective meds for my back (when it acts up), are very heavy hitting OG's, for example: Skywalker Master P Diablo Best of luck to you!

Rep Power: 538 | Re: Back Pain I've been suffering chronic back pain myself, for almost 6 years. Bad accident jacked up my cervical discs (5), and 3 in my lumbar (upper lumbar, if you can believe it). I just had my first Epidural shot almost 2 weeks ago, and it did cut out the sharp, sudden pain. It fired up my IBS, and the neck two weeks before that. I prefer Sativa Dom strains, because I have issues with staying awake, period. Wish you all the best! - Absynthe |

| Re: Back Pain L.A. Confidential. For me, it relaxes my back to the point where the discs pop on their own, even after the slightest movements, which of course increases my mobility as well as lessening the pain. It's like having a chiropractor in a bottle. |

Been a Chiropractor for 25+ years, and would rather ALL patients have MMJ (OG KUSH or other strong indica) to relax the body (and distract the mind) for better mobilization of any joint. Certainly better than ANY pills (otc or prescribed due to side affects involving liver & kidney's)!! BIGDOC

"Popping"... referring to the sound it makes. Like "cracking" your knuckles. Believe me, my chiropractor already explained it all to me. I know it's gases, that are eventually released from your body through exhalation... But thanks for the honesty in reporting from a doctor's perspective. I wish more doctors would come forward about the wonders that this versatile herb can perform!

Rep Power: 83616 | Re: Back Pain Ilike grandaddy purps...and My ...... Item Number: HLG-LOMI CHAIRLomi to the Hawaiians, as Shiaya is to the Japanese. It has a style of massage that Hawaiians believe helps to keep the body in physical and spiritual alignment. Instead of the traditional massage technique that is applied with fingers and hands, Lomi uses the blunt pressure of the palms, fist, elbows forearms and even feet. What makes the Hawaiian Lomi Chair different is the use of 3 dimensional roller disc technologies as opposed to massage ball systems. The 3 dimensional roller disc systems deliver’s a lomi style massage by focusing on larger, more blunt surface.

Rep Power: 538 | Big Doc, I like you!:001_wub: Honesty from doctors always gives me warm fuzzies. I'm sure that chair is well worth the money! I misspoke - the old MRI showed 3 in cervical, 2 in lumbar. Still haven't had the new one done, because the accident report was held up for SIX weeks!:cursing: Epidural #1 @ L5, before accident; Epidural #2 @ C6, after accident; 2 weeks ago, a DUAL Epidural @ L5, because it feels like my back is broken, but the CT scans show nothing broken, but 2 kidney stones in right kidney (either from not drinking enough water while on Topamax, or taking too many calcium carbonate TUMS, to help with Fibro). C6 was broken 6 weeks before accident, a hairline fracture that fortunately healed - oh, had a Cervical MRI for that, but need an update for the NEWER accident. Does anyone want to know how BADLY it feels, to have a root canal, when your neck is broken right UNDER that damn tooth!? Just ask me - as bad as being hit by that damn SUV! At least they found her at fault, though I've resisted the temptation to correct the police, and explain AGAIN that I was halfway THROUGH the intersection, when she came up! Physically impossible the way they said it (That I crossed the HUGE school crossing that fast, haw!). |

Rep Power: 0 | Depending on how long you have had the pain or strain, one of the best things that you can do is Ice - Heat - Ice. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with a B.S. in Exercise Science, and have worked with those who have injured their back. Place an ice pack on the area for 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of heat (find a moist heating pad at a drug store) and then finish with 20 minutes of ice. Do this in the morning and at night to decrease pain and inflammation. If you have been suffering from this longer than a month, check in with a physician or chiropractor. FYI: Edibles seem to be the best for pain mangement, but they take a while to digest before you will feel the effects. Oils and topical balms are also good for an anti-inflammatory. Feel Better |
