I moved from las vegas earlier this year and still make monthly trips to go see my family and old freinds . Just wanted to check if there is any MMJ patietns out there in las vegas ?

I was reading somewhere that california dispensarys rely on Nevada MMJ Vendors for alot of trees , ??

I was in Vegas a couple weeks back. I asked around and people said the environment is not like cali yet. People are still operating underground. Thats what the cab driver told me as well.

And we do not discuss intra-state commerce when it comes to meds. HOW and WHERE they get their meds is THEIR business, not yours or ours.

You can only get meds in the state you are a resident of. TECHNICALLY your rec is usless outside of cali.

Hi. Well as there is no other way to put it ere gos. with my bloodshitting and all, i would still like to enjoy a peaceful holiday. families in vegas now and I live in socal. and must tak meds unless i feel the need to become a dea sanctioned oxycontin junkie (fuck you dea, I'm staying with mother nature; in your face feds & fda) now can anyone advise me on getting my rec temp. respected or processed with nevada law enforc? Can seriously ill patients get
some kind of legal permission to have meds on them while were visiting other
bordering mmj states? Even if the meds are aquired in the visiting state so we
don't have to transfer over state lines. All I want is to be able to naturally (i.e. meaning with out HMO PUSHED HEROIN DERIVITIVES) live with my illness and syptoms in peace and give my niece her christmas and chanika gifts with out shitting blood on myself-THANKS FOR SUPPORTING

Unfortunately, due to the gray area of legal status that MMJ is given by the feds, I think it's a really bad idea to cross state lines with meds, or even try to assert your patient status in another state without being a resident of that state.

The Fed takes crossing state lines with contraband (their word, not mine) extremely seriously.

While I'm sure we've all done things that are extra-legal when it comes to MMJ prior to our patient status, it doesn't behoove us or the movement to try to circumvent the rules, no matter how desperate we may be. I wish I could be more positive on this issue, I really do, because to quote Mr. Clinton, "I Feel your pain", but the negative fallout from an unwanted arrest in Nevada could be detrimental not just to yourself but the movement as well.

That said, I'd encourage you to talk to someone over at ASA who might be more well-versed in inter-state patient status.

Well said. We are on tenuous legal ground, and while MMJ is in such legal limbo without a history of case law, we all need to err on the side of caution, for the good of the cause as a whole.

Love the threads and good info. Thank you all. I'm new to the community and do live in Vegas. Just posted my intro-thread. I'd love to see NV get to the level CA is as far as taking care of their patients. Jewels of the marijuana community! My biggest issue is what is being charged to get registered as a patient here in NV. $500.00!!!

It was raised $100.00 over the past couple of months... I haven't heard of other states doing this to their med-patients... Unless someone knows otherwise and can explain why it costs so much here... Thanks for listening.

All I can say is be careful driving Medicine123. As far as I know NV does not recognize other states ID programs and vice versa, with Montana being the exception... Hopefully we can see that change someday. I have not yet seen any "corner-store dispensaries" or "vending machines" here either... ("Yet" being the operative word...:)).

HB - I think you have quite the lucrative idea my friend, especially with MT recognizing all other state cards. What a lesson in humility, I have learned. Instead of deleting this or trying, I feel it is my karmic duty to pulicly apologize for passing such crude judgement in my previous quote. I do apologize. There is great team of dedicated and beautiful people, that have made a tremendous difference in the lives of many sick here in my community. How quick I was to let my ego over run my ass.
