well. I have been addicted, i have known alot of addicts, and i have been through rehab. Michael Jackson was severely addicted to alot of very powerful medications. MMJ in itself would not have been anything near enough to give him the strength to give up those overpowering substances. once someone is strung out, and relys on something to function. an intervention and treatment are the only thing that can save them.

mabye if when he was burned, or whenever it was he first got addicted to the pain-killers, mabye then if he had had some MMJ it would have helped him not go down the path he did. but i seriously doubt it.

MMJ can be great. but no one is going to change unless they actually want to, and put some real effort into it. Micheal jackson was in a very dark place for the greater part of his life. how would he be expected to take some time to get his shit together while he was under constant spotlight and felt the need to constantly excell. his problems were harbored. and got worse and worse and worse. and eventually killed him.

LOL It would have indeed been a stain on us. Not so much for the child molestation angle, but the freak angle. None of us understand Mr. Jackson, and his untimely death will not lead to better understanding.

Yeah, I would think Michael probably partook in some recreational smoking with Quincy, for musical inspiration if nothing else. It's funny, because I had never thought of that before. But MMJ can only aid a person who already has the capacity to change, and just needs some direction or a little push. Towards the end of life, sadly, he definitely seemed to be beyond the point of no return.

This makes me wonder about weed as a gateway drug... Once you've done something harder (i.e. shrooms, LSD, etc), will you ever look at weed the same way again? Will it ever be enough? I guess it comes down to that question of choice, again.

I ask this question as someone who never has done anything harder than weed (except for salvia once or twice, but I don't think that counts), and as someone who doesn't intend to put anything crazy-whack in his body (coke, meth, etc). But I'm curious to know your experiences.

This is probably a better topic for another thread. Maybe we should just stick to MJ and MMJ in this one.

LOS ANGELES – Police who searched Michael Jackson's home the day after he died were acting on information from family members who said they'd found a bag of heroin in his bedroom, but a person with knowledge of subsequent test results on the substance said it turned out not to be the drug.
The search did, however, turn up a number of other drugs including marijuana, the generic form of Valium and other sedatives. A detective also indicated Jackson's body showed signs of injections.

Sorry if I sound "holier than thou", but his music and dance had a pretty big influence on my life...and I'm pretty sure it did for a lot of you too. Just getting tired of people using the "molester" angle to make a bad joke, and an even worse point, when nobody really knows what happened .... other than what mass media twisted and showed us. Again, didn't mean to offend anyone with this post...just giving my two cents.

I would be very surprised if he didn't do MJ, if he had done MMJ it would have probably been one extra thing in the autopsy report.

He was very addicted to painkillers and benzo's. Those are withdrawals that induce siezures, convulsions, vomitting and all that exciting stuff. In cases as extreme as his, if he were to have stopped cold turkey he could've died that way as well from shock. He was walking a tight rope and (maybe you'll disagree with me) sadly it gave way.

I think the man lived a very rough life, I don't know what he did with the kids, I'd hope it's not as bad as it seemed (since he was just weird enough to allow me to think it might be possible that he didn't do anything though it's unlikely) Whatever happens after we go, I hope the guy makes peace.
