Rep Power: 382155 | Knowing I'm in the minority here... based upon age anyway, and I need some music to load into my Ipod. I use it mostly for my work outs at the gym and when out in the back yard, so upbeat selections really help me bust... Keep me energized.... Ya, that sounds less crude while attempting to better my distance on the elliptical trainer. A new personal best today of 4.44 miles in 35 minutes... That takes fast paced music that also helps drive one beyond their limits... Reaches the spirit if ya know what I'm getting at here. The issue is that being 52 years old I'm a classic rocker and I'm talking ancient history to most of you! Take me in your arms by The Doobie Brothers Weekend Warrior by Da Nuge is the beat I'm talking about... Smokin' by Boston I Really Like Girls by George Thorogood My problem is that I have more space on my Ipod than I can seem to fill. I've been through everything from the 60's to Def Leppard. <eta> I lost track of many nwere groups when I began working back in say the mid 70's through 2008, so newer tunes helps a lot. But I can't find enough fast beat, drivin through the skull rock songs. I know I'm missing too many groups and I sure can't list 1.3 days of music so I hope you will help jog the grey matter so I can get some new tunes. Hit me with your best shots and thanks for the help my Brothers and Sisters. Last edited by Au_Hunter; 07-18-2008 at 04:56 PM.. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: This ole timer needs some music recommendations PM sent and several of happyjack's suggestions are in that thing i mentioned to you that would never in a million years infringe on anyone's copyrights. nope. as a musician and a songwriter i would be completely against anything like that. but i might send a friend a digital "list" of my collection. as songs to consider adding to his own collection, as inspiration, yeah... inspiration - that's the ticket! |

Rep Power: 198369 | Re: This ole timer needs some music recommendations Yup, you got it right, TUS. No messy with artists' copyrights. Those are all good suggestions so far. Off the top of my head, I want to add, Arcade Fire, John Mayer, Dashboard Confessional, The Offspring, Weezer, Maroon 5, early Incubus, etc. Not all with the big beat you may want, but certainly a lot of motion goin' on. BTW, I'm 58! |
