Rep Power: 7447     | Best West Coast Artist('s)? (hip-hop heads) I was wondering how many people on here have an opinion on this subject. It could be any year new or old. I have been a hip-hop head since the 3rd grade so I've been through 2Pac, Ice T, Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Snoop,the D.O.C., Warren G, Rass Kass, Daz Dillinger, Mack 10, WC, Coolio, E-40, Mack Dre, Ya Boy, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Hieroglyphics, Jurrasic 5, The Pharcyde, 3x crazy, Tha Alkaholiks feat. Xzibit, Luniz, Andre Nickatina, Boo-Ya Tribe, B-Real and Cypress Hill, Clyde Carson,The GAME, Glasses Malone, Crooked I and K.Dot. Those are just a few. But as of a couple years ago I heard this one guy buzzing in the streets. JAY ROCK! Straight crack if you are addicted to westcoast rap. 2pac even gave him props back in the day. This guy's style sounds more like the 90s Bay Area rap that I'm familliar with. The other one I'd say that hasn't been mentioned here yet is Zion-I. Oh yeah, how can I forget about The Pharcyde.. The Dilla production on Labcabincalifornia is gold |
