absolutely! my fav metal band is Meshuggah. in the last few days i've been on a death metal binge- Death, Atheist, Suffocation, Decaptitated, Morbid Angel, Necrophagist.....
some other favorites- Sabbath, Maiden, Sleep (album Dopesmoker), Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, Today Is The Day, Lethargy, Pantera, Mastodon, Kyuss, Earth, Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy.......and many more

youve got some good tastes yourself bro! i haven't heard of some of those bands, i should check them out... tech death is THE SHIT!!! for some reason i've never enjoyed black metal... a couple exceptions would Behemoth and Wolves in the Throne Room.
dude that's sick, i play drums too. but mostly fusion, prog, jazz, improv, a lot of metal influence but not so much double bass. need to work on that more haha. i used to play ONLY jazz..not anymore. but i like noisy f'd up jazz, not that elevator music kenny g smooth-lite bullshit lol

Hell ya man, tech death is fucking unreal! Love that shit just gets you going and in a good mood

I know what you mean by the bm thing I should have specified I don't like the ridiculous shit lol just symphonic stuff cause I love me some classical music also. Awesome that you play drums too! I used to play a lot of jazz back in school and it's really helped to develop my overall sound. An yes you like the REAL jazz lol.

damn, why is Death at the bottom with Metallica? lol
i used to listen to Ill Niño, but only the album Revolucion or whatever it was called. had some cool riffs, and i liked the percussion/latin edge. way better than most nu-metal.

NOTHING will always be my favorite metal record....

one time i walked into a metal concert the vocalists ass crack was showing EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE was wearing black and all i could hear was this cat screaming NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some metal is dope tho slipknot's first album owns and metallica's early shit owns too BUT LIKE I SAID NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
