New Patient/Caregiver Network

Hello everyone... I just wanted to let folks know that I am seeking to network with other caregivers interested in serving new patients in their area. I am also a Registered Caregiver accepting new patients in Missoula Area. I have Registered patients looking for Qualified Caregivers that live closer to them. I am needing a little assistance in this matter so any ideas would be helpful.

Peace

Re: New Patient/Caregiver Network

Just wanted to say, smokapelli has some good ideas. I've thought for the last year that the best thing MT can do is to create a patient caregiver network.

This isn't about a cali-style coop with TV commercials; it's moreso a way that caregivers can talk to each other and assist patients together.

Need a doctor.

I am desprately searching for a doctor to help me and my daughter we are both Bi-polar and are being harrassed by DFS saying they are going to take my daughters son because she smokes MMJ. She isn't legally prescribed but I know she would be if she could find a doc. We are extremely frustrated because we have all of these rehab appointments and UA's , we are going to loose our house (Gas money we live 8 miles from town). I am just really sick of the harrassment we are getting. All because of a complaint we got from our dogs. They came into our house told us that they smelled weed and that they were going to call DFS and have them come out to talk to us. Now we are stuck in a situation we feel there is no way out, other than maybe move out of state. Unless we can get legal we are going to have some serious problems. Because of the state and our local rehab minimizing our mental illness and the benefits we gain from smoking.. I just don't understand how this can be a free country and yet we are still in the dark ages about true freedom to do what you want. It is retarded. We have never in this country been so repressed as we are now. I am just sick of it. I am ready to move to the UK or Canada where at least they have some sense of true freedom. This country was founded on the fact that the people didn't have to answer to a monarchy but yet we still are being repressed and controlled by our government. This may be democracy but it isn't freedom... Please help us find a doctor to help.

Hello I am sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you contacted Patients & Families United? info@mtmjpatients.org They should be able to assist you. I don't have the right skill set to assist with this matter so I am hoping you will contact them for more information. Anyone else have any ideas?

Re: New Patient/Caregiver Network

Unfortunately, I have never heard from TJJ, and it appears he/she only signed in once here to post their dilemma.

As for the statewide network, from my research we have the north west, south west, and south central parts of the state covered for new patients... more to come on that soon :)

Re: New Patient/Caregiver Network

I'm still getting patient requests for information and attempts to find caregivers from a website closely associated with this movement. I suggest some of you establish an identity on it. I used to post the Patient & Families United alerts on that board as well and since my departure no one has picked that up. It would behoove you to do so.

well, with that stance you will find that bugs/thieves/leo will be a disaster for you. not having your care-giver outside of your home circle will eventualy leave you wanting a source for meds and starts. try ta see the long-term here. the idea is to set up a 'legal' network that all can take advantage of. i do not apoint my wife so's not to limit my sources, we are both care-givers. finding another patient/C-G to exchange with would be optimal for you both, as well as the red flagging that can come up due to the spouse appointing being on record......
