I'm wondering if anybody has any words of wisdom in terms of which strains to avoid and which strains might be helpful for patients with Tourette Syndrome??

My rec is for my fibromyalgia, but I also have Tourette's. It's actually quite mild, though it tends to get worse when I'm stressed (or when I play video games, oddly enough - why is that???). Anyway, I've noticed that with some strains I tend to get more twitchy than usual. It seems to happen the most with sativas so I am inclined to avoid them, but I do notice pain relief with sativas, so I don't want to give up on them altogether. Any thoughts or advice?

I get very stressed playing video games! There are some where I can only get through part of a level before I have to save and quit. I can see where even if your mind is relaxing because you're "playing," your body might be tense and could trigger your problem.

I have CFS, which my doctor and I believe is related to fibro. I have found certain hybrids (like Chemdawg and Afwreck) help with my symptoms, but if I am tense or stressed, I usually avoid anything sativa-y at all and go for a light indica. I don't have anxiety issues normally but I have actually had hybrids and sativas induce it if I am stressed out or don't feel well. There are plenty of indicas out there that don't induce couchlock but do seem to smooth things over.
