Rep Power: 59 | Re: ssi and mmj No way. I doubt it anyway. I'm just a dumb patient not an attorney, but that sounds 'newsworthy' cruel. I'm sure there would be some sort of uproar against it, if it did happen. I'm an SSI patient and a medical cannabis patient too, (obviously) and I've been receiving SSI for years now. I also have the county/state ID card. Unfortunately I can't afford medication though, so I don't spend any money on it, because I just can't. I get about $800 per month, and most of that goes to rent and food. I rely on narcotics and pharmaceuticals to get by with my ailments. I am registered at a few dispensaries, and one gives me an eighth of some garbage shake every month. I would never stand behind, or support these people in court, that's for sure. Be careful with these jokers, because they'll very eagerly take your documents, and help you for the first few months, but then will start making excuses. Also DO NOT go to places that simply give a useless 10% or 20% discount or something, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!! They'll sell your social security number, and you'll be an ID theft victim! Only go to those that offer a 'care package'/free medicine, or near free/HUGE discount. Definitely be very careful. I truly wish you luck and all the best, sun122 |
