Online Resources for Mental Illness

This forum is dedicated for patients suffering from various psychopathologies. Listed below are some references to other online forums and support groups. Please remember to never try to diagnose yourself. Consult with your physician to gain a greater understanding of your health.

I have zero tolerance for any flaming, negativity, stereotyping or stigmatizing remarks directed at patients in this forum. Please be respectful of the sensitive nature of this topic. Also, if you need help please ask. A link is provided for the National Suicide Hotline but keep in mind that this forum is here to provide support if you need it. Just ask.

Best,
MRT

Re: Online Resources for Mental Illness

I am happy I had a moment to cruse in here a bit tonight. I have been looking for additional resources for my son and I. Here are a couple of of links I can share as well.

www.nami.org and www.nmha.org

These illnesses are just a disabling if not more than if you were missing a limb or your eyesight. Yet there are far little resources available for these patients and their families. Thank you for the information.

Re: Online Resources for Mental Illness

I've got to give the Weedtracker family, especially you, MadRiverTurtle, my deepest appreciation for getting this topic out there, in such a dignified and respectful manner.

There are many people in this community who are suffering right now from serious mental health symptoms, and are trying to hide it, instead of addressing it.

For me personally, medical cannabis has ended up being a godsend for my depression and other health issues. The hardest part of being ill, isn't the illness, it's the lack of social acceptance and lack of safe access.

But I am grateful to be connected to a community which provides so much support and valuable information. I don't know where I'd be without you, WT.
