Rep Power: 297 | Re: Is it ok to be medicated 24/7? Hey! Just felt like updating. Haven't been using MMJ for various reasons recently, and I have come to realize it really is the medication for me. I have been on more psychiatric medications than I can count and although some have helped (still take my mood stabilizer, to be on the safe side) most of them have horrible horrible side-effects, and I don't even want to think about what they do to the brain long term. And no I wasn't getting "stoned" just medicating in an appropriate way, much less impairment than my benzodiazepines and other medications caused me. Edibles have become more and more appealing to me lately and I think I may switch to them since they last longer, aren't as "intense", and I think they help my anxiety more. But will most likely stick to herbals/hash for night time relief. I'd like to keep this thread alive though so other may put there input, and as I always say, best of luck to all! |

I Have Migraines fequently(not as much when im medicated I find if when I dont medicate, the migraines come on more frequently and I DONT SLEEP AT ALL. I wouldnt say I do it 24/7, but I DO stay heavily medicated. So overall it depends on when/how much ur mind/body needs it. Use accordingly. Peace | |

I smoke in the evenings during the work week, but throughout the day on Sat/Sun. Still manage to be a bit productive, too. :) |

Rep Power: 33691 | Re: Is it ok to be medicated 24/7? A lot of us have had the same question, I'm sure. I am also taking MMJ for depression and anxiety. I am still questioning whether the best way for me to take it is to smoke it as much as I feel the urge to, or to use it only once in a while as needed. In the two years I've been treating myself with MMJ, I find that I go through periods where I smoke it every day, and times when I run out and spend a few days sober. Since the withdrawal of MMJ are minimal, either way will work. Sporadic use has the added benefits of saving $, and feeling far less dependent. However, if it's working for you, why take the risk of falling into a depression? I have not had a single episode since smoking MMJ. Right now, the best way I smoke is to smoke 1 bowl of lower grade hash in a pipe right before bed. It has cut my MMJ expense in half, and I feel great. So, experiment a little bit. Take a couple of days off and see how you feel. I can guarantee you that your tolerance will drop like a rock, and you'll get far more out of every puff. So, maybe it's time for you to try this. Good luck, and let us know how things work out for you. We're all in the same boat here. |
