My son has Bipolar disorder with phychotic feature's, he was diganosed when he was only 13, but he did well after on meds for awhlie, he got arrested and put on probation , for arson and terrorus threats, he hulucinates and here voice's that tell him to kill himself and others, well he moved out at 18 and moved in with Gramma on his father side, who has been telling him repeatdly to stop his meds and they were what made him sick, i put a stop to it years ago, but i think she put a bee in his little bonet, cause at 18 he dropped a whole lot of weight and i knew right then he had stopped his med's, so out of nowhere he says he met this girl over the internet, who live in oragon, so he moved down their 7 years ago,but would not even talk to me, i'm really not sure why, but it don'snt matter now! he married her 5 months ago and they were so happy he is makeing very good money and holding down a great job, i prayed that nothing would happen, like maybe it was like one time episode, when he was 13, but his wife called me last week and said he want's a divorce and for her to take the 7 year old and move out, not only this but he started get mean!! and then to the point of she thought he was going to hit her, and she told me some thing thast made flags go off and my internal alram went off big time so i tried to call back, no answer for 3 days , then she called today, to tell me he is now drinking heavly and he had access to a GUN!!!!! i told her to the gun out of the house now !!!!!! and take all the boooze out too, then i called her back tonight and when she went back , my son pulls up gets out of his truck and asked why all this stuff was out side and he bought luch for his son and her and they we moveing out and she told him what happed and he says he doen't remember the last 2 weeks at all!!!!!!!, he's dangerous!! he tried to kill me in my sleep when he was 13 and he cut up the fish, he truns into a monster, it's not his fault!! and he 's in the middle of it and can't see whats up at all, i have no money to go to him, so he need s all the prayer we can muster up, he;s just a kid and thought he was better and just wanted to be normal in his defention anyway, i a Bipolar also , just not to that extreme, we wer'nt sure becasue of another disease that i have it looks just like bipolar disorder, i don't think i should go becuase i think it might make it worse, he hasn't talked to me all this time so i figure he must be pissed about somerhing i said or did, now i don't care, i just want him to be OK and Happy, how do i sit here here calif, while my only son is loseing his mind in oragon, his wife is trying , thank god i told her when they got together what happed when was 13 , i kmow i over stepped his boundies, but i felt like i had to keep everyone safe, so when he started to lose it she called me!! and their trying to get him back on the meds fast, i'm so poweless, it's killing me i couldn't sleep for sh-t, i had to take an adivan and then i gave him to my higher power to take care off, it's still really hard cope , anyway, thanks for listening, just i pray noone gets hurt or go's to jail, see ya all Endlesssky:partysmile:

As soon as his wife called you she made it your business..You only did what you thought was right.I'm sure you feel powerless above all else but sometimes all you can do is pray and leave it in gods hands..His wife is a big girl and I'm sure will make the best decision for her and your grandson...as for your son...He is also a big boy with a serious illness but you cant help someone who doesn't choose to help themselves.Pray and ask God to take your heartache and worry and leave things to him..

you are so very right!! i give him to GOD and then take back and then back to GOD, i'll get better with it, it take me a little bit, i always have to do that stuff over and over again untill it sticks good, i'm kinda wierd the way i process stuff, thanks for replying, it's hard, and yeah he's a big boy, and a very sick boy, it's dangerous side that worries me, i would do anything i could to make sure none gets hurt, i would hate to see him or anyone eles suffer due to this illness i hate this illness, it's bastard forsure, and i don't want to see any more lives distroyed by him or this illness, i'm scared he'll kill someone or himself, buy i am giveing him to GOD again , right now, well it's pretty outside today, i think i'll go play with my dogs, tha will make me feel better! thanks, see ya Endlesssky

Does your son have a psychiatrist? Maybe I misread your post a little (I'm medicated), but if he has one, does the psychiatrist know he's off his meds? I'd talk to a professional to find out what to do about this, because this seems like a medical emergency to me. Seriously. Good luck to you.

he stopped his meds 7 years ago and walked away from the DR and threapy, he truned 18teen and he can refuse meds if he wants they can't force you and he didn't tell anyone, i figured it out when he started to lose weight, then he left and would not talk to me and still has not, his wife called me very upset, and described whats going on and then he kinda came out of the mania and didn't remeber the last two weeks, where he had terriezed his wife till she moved out and then brings home lunch for his son and her, not knowing he had kicked them out and wanted a divorce and he didn't even remeber anything, so not he dosn't have a DR of any kind they need to just admitt him, it; hard to tell he's phychotic, he can just carry it on and noone ever figured it till the cops put it together, he stopped his med once before when he was just 13teen and did the same dam thing except he almost killed me , he lit the house on fire with me asleep in it, and terrorized a whole apartment complex including the land lord . he left a note on people's doorstep syaing thing;s like you better watch your baby or i'll get her next time you aren't watching her closely, well that he keep shutting the brecker's off knowing i was terrorfied of the dark, and i am one who called the dam cops, if had known it was him i would not have done that, he got arrested and put on 5 months probation for Arson and terrious threat's, he was hospilized for 2 weeks and i had to move us before they would let him come home, cause for some reason peaple couldn't understand that he was sick not moraly bad, and they wanted his ass, so they evicted us and i lost my secton 8, well you would think he wouldn't forget that but he did, and now i bet he wishes had not forgotten that without his mental health. he's got nothing at all, he almost lost eveything, i tried to call today but something's wrong with her phone i will try tommrow, the sooner they get him hospilized the better for eveyone, yes this is, emergency, i will post as we get more new's about whats going on, thank's for all your concern Endlesssky

I AM SO UPSET, THEY STILL HAVE NOT PUT HIS PHYCHOTIC ASS IN THE HOSPITAL, , he keep switching back and forth and in out of phychosis, but refuse's to take meds,i think she afraid to make him mad, she told me she called the cops on him last nite but i have not heard anything yet, HE'S GOING TO EITHER KILL HIMSELF OR SOMEONE ELES, I HAVE ABSULUTLY BEEN ATTACKED BY HIM WHEN HE WAS PHYCHOTIC, IT;S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME TILL HE REALLY GONE AND THEIR WON'T BE A WAY TO GET HIM TO GO VOLENTARY AND THAT WILL MAKE HARD ON HIM, but i really can;t do anything about that, it's up to him, he do it the easy way or the hard way, where we all knock him down and shot him full of thorazine, and then they will shakel him and chain him up, i know cause i have bben thru this before and i sure didn't like being chained to a bed,, but she keep just checking on him, STOP DOING THAT AND PUT HIS ASS IN THE CAR AND TAKE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL, IF HE WON''T COMPLY CALL THE CRISIS INTERVENTION, THIS WHAT I TOLD HER LAST NIGHT WHEN SHE CALLED ME, I DON'T KNOW THE DAM ADDRESS OR HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER, AND HER PHONE;S ALL JACKED UP, so i have to wait till she calls me, F that, i need to go their and just get him addmitted, that way he won't be mad at his wife , and i can take it, i just want to save his life before it's gone to far to save, like he kills someone or himself, she seem's to think takeing sall the sharp objects out of the house that he'll be ok, well their's mirror's arn't they and he has a huge brand new truck and he could ran that off the raod or clif, i don't feel so secure about the shrap objects. i have to go to him and help him get into the hospital, or something really bad is going to happen and he;s suffering so much,, MY DR SAYS I CAN'T TRAVEL AT ALL, I CAN'T HARDLY MAKE FROM TOWN TO TOWN HERE, WITHOUT MY SUAGDROPPING SO LOW I WOULD PASS OUT AND I WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL EVERYTIME I TRIED JUST TO GO TO LA, THE LAST TIME I WAS HOSPILIZED FOR 4 DAYS ON IV'S ANTIBOTIC'S, I ALMOST LOST MY LEG, SO I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT A WAY FOR ME TO GET TO ORAGON!!!!!! Not knowing the specifics let me just make a couple suggestions.

Locate the nearest hospital to you with a P.E.T. team on staff. This is a Psychological Evaluation Team, they're around you just have to check what hospital in your area has them.

The do have the power to detain someone (at least 72 hours),if they feel he/she is a risk to himself or others.

If he is over 18, you are going to have a rough time having him committed.
It's not that easy, especially when they are able to play the game.

The next time he acts out, goes manic, threatens someone call the PET team and the police.

HE'S IN Oragon and i don't know where or what town and theeir phones won't work and he's married and his wife can have him committed, he is a documented BIPOLAR with pychotic features, all they havd to do is call the DR he had when he was last on meds and i just happen to be intouch with and he;s my partners DR, all they have to do is call me and then talk to him, i can do nothing, i don't even know his phone number he has made sure i don't have any access to him, he will not talk to me at all for the last 7 years guess why!! cause your guess is a good as mine!! since i don't know what town . sitting on her ass wating to see what happen's to him, fuk that sh=t, he ;s running out of time, till he hurts someone or hisself and yes he can look well, but if he;s focused on his wife and the voice;s are telling him to hurt her, if she stay's around instaed of calling the cops and leaving, he might be able to pull it off, she should of stayed, with him, he;s all alone losing hs dam mind , THIS IS NOT FAIR, HE;S ONLY 25,, HE WAS TRYING SO HARD TO PUT A LIFE TOGETHER AND IT'S JUST FALLING APART AROUND HIM AND HE CAN'T EVEN SEE IT!!!!
