Exclamation Recall Rules for Trutanich and Cooley

God I hate these guys...Anyone catch the news broadcasts? Cooley looks like a defeated man forced to sell his soul to the devil. Sad, sad man.

Anyway, if we want to get rid of these jerks, it's a long shot but these laws are on the books. Respective recall rules for City Attorney and D.A.:

But Greenbud, how will we escape the PESTICIDE?!? I, for one, had no idea our vendors were spraying Raid on our medicine. I have never once read of this secret practice in any grow forum, and I'm shocked!

Oh, the humanity!

Re: Recall Rules for Trutanich and Cooley

What?!

When I started researching grow techniques the best tip I could find was people telling me that Raid is what makes buds taste and smell the best! You spray it on every day starting with veg! Then when harvesting you should just uproot the plants and put them in a plastic bag filled with gasoline( regular, don't waste money on premium), and then seal the bag up. Come back in like a month pull the buds out of the gas, trim 'em up and there you go perfect meds!

It wasn't until I heard Cooley talk about how bad Raid was that I realized what I was doing! I, for one, am grateful for the wisdom he shares.....

Yeah, the gas soak was the reason old school buds burned better...

No really, that was the dumbest "photo op" ever.

I am not registered to vote in LA (kept SD residence to vote down there), but anybody gets the recall started I'll help get signatures.

Re: Recall Rules for Trutanich and Cooley

Of course I love the idea of removing these two from office (although I'm not in the City of LA, I am in the county....)

But I think it's a huge hill to climb. The MMJ community is outraged, but the sad truth is, we are outnumbered by people who have absolutely NO incentive to see Cooley removed.

I just don't think it's a realistic proposition, even though it's an incredibly appealing one.

Re: Recall Rules for Trutanich and Cooley

I am still very curious where these patients are that smoked that tainted medicine? If this "tainted" medicine was sold by a collective(s), then where are the people that smoked this stuff? Didn't it make them very ill? I can buy some cannabis from any co-op and spray bug killer with that fragrant lavender aroma added to it and say that it was already present but where are the patients that smoked it???? Produce them with blood tests that show it is in their system. Where are they Mr. Trutanich?

Re: Recall Rules for Trutanich and Cooley

Some non related crap from another true Cooley hater:

Steve Cooley L.A.D.A. Should Resign

There is a auto link to write a complaint about him to the White House. Looks like this guy has deep rooted personal hate, but great reading none the less. LOL

This is from there:
Quote:
Elected for Third Term: Steve Cooley is vested with the authority to investigate and prosecute criminal activity. He is paid about $300,000 annually, by the people to act for the people. He is the highest paid D.A. in California. He is a public servant and must put the interests of the people above his own personal interests. He must conduct himself in a manner that best serves the community.
Quote:
Candidates for L.A.D.A. Albert Robles and Steve Ipsen
Steve Cooley was elected for a third term in 2008. He was opposed by Albert Robles, Member of the Water Replenishment Board and Steve Ipsen, President, Association of Deputy District Attorneys. Cooley ignored his opponents and the issues. Robles and Ipsen, reported that Cooley is corrupt and does not do his job. YouTube - Preview District Attorney Steve Cooley 2000 to 2008
Incumbent Non-Responsive
Cooley did not debate his opponents or defend his conduct as District Attorney. He did not answer questions posed by the news media. He refused to be interviewed by Full Disclosure Network. Cooley did not risk a loss dealing with issues. He had loads of money and won by a landslide.
Cooley Won With Support of Criminal Defense Lawyers
Cooley celebrated his Birthday with a Party and invited Criminal Defense Lawyers to his home. Deputy prosecutors were not invited. Hundreds of criminal defense attorneys gave Cooley a $1,000 campaign contribution and some brought their secretaries who gave another $1,000 for his campaign. His opponents contend that Cooley is committed to criminal defense attorneys who contributed to his campaign.
Cooley Made No Denials
Cooley did not deny that he does not investigate the rich and powerful. The rich and powerful do not want to be investigated. Cooley did not prosecute priests for child molestation. Cooley does not want to make enemies; Cooley wants campaign contributions to assure he stays in office.
Pay Raise or Bribe?
In essence, Cooley uses prosecutorial discretion for his benefit. For example, Cooley did not investigate the Board of Supervisors for their shenanigans and was rewarded with a $100,000 raise or bribe at a time when taxpayers are struggling to pay their taxes. Cooley makes about $300,000 and is the highest paid District Attorney in the State of California.
Cooley Favors Campaign Contributors
Cooley has created a climate where favored individuals are above the law. As it turns out even those charged with crimes may employ favored defense attorneys and obtain a pass for unlawful conduct. Robles and Ipsen report that an investigation of a drug cartel went no where after a criminal defense lawyer took over who had contributed to Cooley’s election campaign.
In Summary: These candidates are critical of Steve Cooley’s ethics. They claim that Cooley doesn’t earn his pay, because he doesn’t do his job. Los Angeles has a prosecutor who favors the rich and powerful and who is willing to compromise his prosecutorial authority currying the favor of criminal defense attorneys. Cooley is obligated to criminal defense attorneys who have helped elect him to office when they represent criminals in court.

So is anyone actually generating a recall petition? Looks like it is the only way to get rid of him quickly and decisively. I truly believe he will get beat up in Court so badly his opinion will be worth squat to anyone, but LA really needs a DA that can support patients.

Well, I can't speak for "tainted" meds, but I have on occasion gotten something that was extremely harsh on my throat. Theres been a few times when myself or another patient friend of mine has gotten mmj that's made one of us feel a little funny or gotten a weird headache or hangover.

Thats's why we should entertain the possibility. Check out the proposal a friend of mine wrote to address this

The initial step for proponents interested in the recall of an elected officer holder is the drafting of a Notice of Intention. (§11020)

The Notice of Intention consists of the following:

• The name and title of the officer to be recalled. Cooley

• A statement of no more than 200 words expressing the reasons for the recall. (See
Appendix B for rules on counting words.) I will write this, but someone's got to collect those sigs!

• The printed name, signature, and business or residence address of each of the
proponents. Note: Proponents should also provide a mailing address if different from
above. Proponents are registered voters in LA County. Need to check, but I think we need about 20 people to be Proponents.

• The language contained in §11023 informing the incumbent of his or her right to file an answer. Who would like the pleasure of informing Cooley?

Lots of people are mad at Cooley. I think I'll do a little research and see if other constituencies might also fit into the recall statement. They would also be another source of signatures.

If it actually gets that far post the recall petition so we can print it out. I'll be happy to do so and collect signatures.

for once it makes me wish I lived in LA, just so I could sign this thing.
