The latest ordinance goes to Public Safety meeting next Monday. No agenda is online as of yet but Greig Smith heads the committee and he is an ex-cop if I'm correct. He may try to railroad a fucked up 'emergency' ordinance.

Once again, another chance for all those out there to become active and show up to voice your opinion. Nothing matters to politicians more than actual people. If we are legion we will make a difference.

All change starts with the common people. I hope this time, with all the shit around this issue, that folks decide to come out in force.

I remind everyone that just the sheer number of people on WT alone could fill a stadium so there is no more excuses to not show up if you can humanly do so. Take the day off, call in sick, skip class, whatever, but at some point these clowns need to see more than the same 20-100 faces at every protest or event where our presence in numbers matters most. At some point all MMJ patients need to understand that to these politicians actually equate the number of protesters with the level of our overall resolve and determination. 100 or so protesters means to them that we are just a few and therefore let's do whatever we want with little or no resistance.

I hope to see lots of you out there next week. Please do your best to show up in large numbers.

I would like to attend. I will go wearing my nurse's outfit for added credibility.

I'm not seeing anything on Monday's Public Safety agenda relating to medical marijuana. I've heard the City Attorney is issuing a new draft, but that's not on-line either. Anybody have more current information on these two things? It's not unusual for the city to slot things in at the last minute, so we really do have to be vigilant.
