I’m curious where the majority of members stand on this issue, so here's a Poll:

Are you proponents of Cannabis restricted to Medical Use, or would you prefer to continue fighting for Legalization &/or Decriminalization.

Another way to put it is: if the Federal Govt. decided tomorrow that they will no longer pursue or prosecute any legit MMJ cases, would you be satisfied, or would you want to continue fighting until MJ is Legalized &/or Decriminalized?

I’m loosely referring here to Legalization or Decriminalization as NORML describes it - below I've pasted a passage from their web site FAQ's briefly describing it ( http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=3418 )

“NORML supports the removal of all criminal penalties for the private possession and responsible use of marijuana by adults, including the cultivation for personal use, and the casual nonprofit transfers of small amounts. This model, similar to that recommended to Congress by President Nixon's esteemed Shafer Commission in 1972, is called "decriminalization."

NORML additionally supports the development of a legally controlled market for marijuana, where consumers could purchase it from a safe, legal and regulated source. This model is referred to as "legalization."

NORML believes that marijuana smoking is not for kids and should only be used responsibly by adults. As with alcohol consumption, it must never be an excuse for misconduct or other bad behavior. Driving or operating heavy equipment while impaired from marijuana should be prohibited.”

Legalize it.
In my opinion,
The federal government is supposed to be for the people by the people, not the other way around .
If the people want to smoke and it doesn't hurt anyone else's rights why not allow them to smoke. The federal government should support our right to smoke.

I am not opposd to legalization, but I think we will get there with small steps, so I voted for recognition of the states rigths by the Fed.

I think I agree with this, one step at a time, but I am not going to vote until I think it over more fully.

funny you should say that Koffee. I worked late last night, wrote this in my office before heading home...and at the moment I posted it I felt that medical use was good enough for me too. (I hadn't medicated since 10pm so maybe I wasn't feeling it anymore.)

But when I went home and snapped a few of some Gods Gift, my mind opened up - 'what the fuck was I thinking?? The whole world needs access to this amazing plant!' I think medical use has made some of us more complacent to some extent, myself included.

LEGALIZE IT!

I havent voted yet. Still deciding. I will say that the world would be a better place if everyone was medicated. Less fighting, less wars and just a lot of eating!!

First things first.

California has already de-Criminalized the possession of less than an Ounce of Marijuana.
This takes care of a lot of the recreational users.

My First wish (like saVage) is to have California's Med Pot laws obeyed by Uncle Sam.

My Second wish is to have 39 more States legalize Med Pot.

My Third wish is to have Cannabis re-Scheduled by the FDA, to Schedule 3 (like Vicodin).

Beyond that, I am a Libertarian at heart.
I would not strenuously object if the Drug laws were pushed back a hundred years (certainly, at least, for adults).

Most adults are capable of making the BIG decisions in their life; the rest of adults will blow it; that's the way it is; Life's a crap-shoot.

yes you are so correct Koffee, except I'm not sure about the eating...maybe if we could end world famine...some people want to eat but they have no food. (That's a topic for a different forum LOL)

I want to eat, and I have no food :( Although I suppose I could get up and go get some and the poor starving people in the world can't, so I will be thankful for that!
When I'm medicated I don't feel much like hating anyone or anything, so yes, there should would be a lot more love. Would be nice. Hopefully that day will come. (Not that I feel like hating anyone when Im not medicated! Just want to make that clear!)

I can't agree with the Go Lakers though, even if it does get me online beat up! Go Rockets!!!! (My home team)
