Rep Power: 127208 | Hey San Fernando Valley: Smith Hates MMJ The SFV is home to a huge number of storefronts, and a huge number of MMJ patients. Greg Smith is one of the City Council reps for the area. Mr. Smith is doing everything he can to put us patients out in the streets again, and he is doing it proudly. To those who did not attend yesterdays protest, the vast majority of you, how about some ACTION! Flood his email, write hard-copy letters, and call his office and let him know you will NOT be voting for him again! The dipshit wants his cushy job to continue. Greg Smith representing the Valley would be like Joe Friday representing Haight Ashbury. |

Rep Power: 10261 | Re: Hey San Fernando Valley: Smith Hates MMJ I don't live in the SFV, though have many friends there, I'll make sure they all know about this guy. Sounds like the SFV co ops need to make sure their patients all know what he's about too. Thanks for the info. |

Rep Power: 3631 | I e-mailed him and he rewarded me by closing one of my favorite mmj coops. I emailed him a 2nd time, and he and the LAPD closed another one of my coops on my list. My list of coops to visit is shrinking....not fair. We need a class action lawsuit against the LAPD for not honoring props 215 and 420. Any lawyers out there that want to help???? We need help in the West San Fernando Valley....... Sincerely, dj pebbles "I am very upset" |

): 1) In order to establish standing, a party invoking federal jurisdiction bears the burden of establishing, among other things, that they have suffered an injury in fact; i.e., a concrete and particularized, actual or imminent invasion of a legally-protected interest. 2) To survive a motion for summary judgment for lack of standing, a party must set forth by affidavit or other evidence specific facts to support its claim. 3) In addition to the above, in order to show standing, a party that is not an object of government action must show facts that the choices made by the independent actors not before the courts have been or will be made in such a manner as to produce causation and permit redressability of injury. 4) No. Congress cannot pass legislation that allows for the creation of citizen suits that confer standing upon citizens who would not be able to allege an injury in fact. (Lujan v Defenders of Wildlife). And this certainly doesn't satisfy the test for using taxpayer status as standing. (See Flast v Cohen) I don't mean to sound harsh dude. I understand that you're upset. But there's very few lawyers who use WT and legally speaking, you don't have a leg to stand on. | |
