the d.e.a. gets cooley and the other twit to declare all co-ops illegal acording to state law. so now they're in violation of state and federal law. now the d.e.a. is free to start raiding. far fetched????

Not far fetched as they are already training LASD for mmj raids! Everyone needs to be extremely careful !!

None of the particulars really matter (who, etc).

The threats have been issued to prepare onlookers for what they are going to do.

No one here thinks that they are bluffing do you?

To accomlish the stated goal it will require some muscle to do the necessary damage to the current access to cannibis, and like making sausage its not going to be pretty, not to mention at a time when the economy is imploding with resulting famin of resources, brewing general strik and revault, threats of H1N1 and its vacine, world conflict that can not be sustained, and with most not brave or willing enough to talk open and honest about it.

And where is the money going to come from to finance these raids? Aren't all these government agencies broke.....WT is right paranoia will destroy ya.

Do you realize how expensive it would be for LAPD to shut down all these dispensaries? And who will be taking the dispatch calls for activities while they are all busy breaking doors down to dispensaries.

the DA in San Diego claimed all collectives are illegal back in 2005 and every time she is on the news since then,but in SD today we have more collectives than ever before,its clearly a propaganda move by the LA DA and seems to to have some effect by reading the posts here,remember it takes a vote of the people to change any of the rights granted in prop 215

I suspect DEA raids are highly unlikely. Locally organized and orchestrated raids accompanied by federal personnel you can bet, is a sure thing.

It appears at this time Obama has kept his word and no DEA lead raids have occurred except in Mendicino. With everything else on his plate this would not be a good time to betray this community.

The rumor here is that we will lose a few coops in SD when the raids happen in LA. I don't know if that is true or not, but it does serve as a warning to be ready for the travails ahead.

Operation Green Rx in SD they average about ten collectives for each raid the last set of raids with DEA support they targeted 14 the most ever for store fronts and this occurs about every 6 mos to a year,the biggest operation they conducted was a sting at a house they rented and called delivery services off of the normal list,30 individuals were charged in that action,even if LA has 4 times the resources of SD they are only going to target a small precentage of collectives its to big now and they now it,it just sucks for the collectives and indviduals that get their rights beat down

Fear mongering, politics, controled opposition to get the movement and puplic to voluntarily accept sever limitations on prop.215, I'm over medicating? Maybe, and the chips are in play, we shall see.

I'm surprised no one has taken into account; the timing of this whole thing. The raids are meant to disrupt the harvest, from up north. Many collectives rely on this abundant supply of cannabis, because of harrasment from local government, on the issue of growing. In return the independent growers rely, on this income, as the only pay check they will probally receive all year. Their not doing this to shut down large scale operantions or the "cartels": they sell their cannabis on the east coast or mid-west where they can get top dollar, for damn near anything. No... this is an attack, on Califonia's hidden economy. Virtually all of the counties where all the cannabis is grown have high rates of unemployment and some of the greatest concentration's of welfare recipents. This is aimed at shutting down non-cartel growers making that drive on the 5.
