Rep Power: 52260 | Who knew the city partners with the pharmaceutical industry? Could this be one of the reasons the city hates dispensaries? Welcome to the LARx Prescription Savings Program Drug Pricing Pharmacy Locator Wonder how much the pharmaceutical companies/lobbyists are behind this program and if they donate to election funds for mayor or councilmembers? Dispensaries dispensing MMJ would replace about 80%-90% of the pills sold at pharmacies so I can see why the attitude in city hall. FYI, Viagra is approved under this program. Go figure. I bet all that shit on TV is there for the taking too. Shows you the insidious influence Big Pharm has on politics even on the local level . Or am I reading to much into this? GB |

Rep Power: 127208 | Re: City Runs Drug Program! Smoking Gun? Legalizing MJ will not hurt Big Pharma as much as everyone on these boards think. MMJ is used for pain mostly, and some use it for mental health issues. There are countless other maladies and conditions that drugs cover, and for the most part people are not going to just flock over to MMJ. Only folks who are brave enough to buck the trend use MMJ. If the city of L.A. can partner up and help get folks medications cheaper, my hats off to them. |
