Exclamation Victory for MMJ at Tarzana Neighborhood Council Meeting

My wife Jennifer Harris Crawford (My Caregiver) and Debra Tepel from Kush Korner (neighbor) were two of only three people to support MMJ at the Tarzana Neighborhood Council meeting tonight. GOOD NEWS! The Tarzana community will NOT support the City Attorney's ordinance governing collectives.

Here's my take on what happened:
Jennifer and Debra got their chance to speak. There were only @ six people (3 for MMJ and 3 for other matters) and a cop...the cop left after the City Attorney lost.

The council voted and by one vote we WON!!! Now, begin the begin again... the rest of the Neighborhood Council Local Meetings MUST go the same way! In order to do this people must SHOW UP!!!! SERIOUS AS A HEART ATTACK!!! Get off the asses/computers and couches unless you use your computer for safe access. Go your local neighborhood counsel meetings and speak up!, the city council people love to hear from you in person.

We can all can spark one up for the rest of us later for the victory that happened hours ago.! Tonight was just three people there that made it happen and what a difference made by showing up to help the undecided members. Yes We Can! We Can! SO CAN YOU! Go out and make it happen!

they got to speak and help a couple undecided. WOW! We're so happy! Also Thank The Tarzana Neighborhood Council people also for voting NO! to a bad ordinance! Now City Council man Dennis P. Zine .. MUST vote NO on 4th Ordinance!!!

We need to replace the bad City Counsel people who don't represent us! Let's put a MMJ Patients in! Our numbers are large...we have no power unless we use it.

Just to be clear on language, it's all City of Los Angeles but different sections of the city that used to be their own cities are now called Districts or District Neighborhood like Tarzana and Canoga Park. But yes, the NC's can cover multiple neighbohoods.

Best,

I was just saying district 3 is Canoga Park, West Hills, Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Reseda and one more I think but above it says Zine must vote no because Tarzana Voted No.

Thats all, Zine is influenced by a lot of the Valley which I hope they all feel the same as Tarzana.. YEA Tarzana and the awesome MMJ advocates there...

Angry Re: Victory for MMJ at Tarzana Neighborhood Council Meeting

I e-mailed my city council representative in Chatsworth...Greg Smith, and he rewarded me with a raid at one of my favorite mmj coops, (by the LAPD). What can I do next???

I am having one of my melt downs. I am mentally and physically disabled and need my mmj. I needed to voice my opinion where I would not get in trouble.
I very sensitive with my feelings.

How can we add Chatsworth to this Victory for MMJ???

Good for those who show up and make a difference. Thank you!!! Some can't and have to contribute in other ways. If we all pitch in with what we can do we will make a difference. Hey - we passed 215 (and I still have trouble believing it!) and if we can do that we should be able to do anything.

My God, I am proud of you all! You are fighting gorilla warfare in LA, and winning! The power of the few to influence the many. More to the point you were/are able to educate the people who truly want to know what's going on; those who can actually help us.

All I can say is go team and power to the people. (lol, that should cover just about everyone)

Does anyone have more info about the Tarzana meeting? Or articles about it? What did they actually vote on? Was it just voicing an opinion or does it actually have any legal meaning? Do they have jurisdiction to over-ride the City? Actual info would be much appreciated.

I was wondering the same thing. I think it has more to do with influencing the local elected official in whether or not to support the City. The Neighborhood Councils are the places where you can show up, voice your concern, and have it be recorded in an official capacity (I remember something about a guy going off on aliens that must be stopped...the outer space kind...so it can be a really open forum)

Here's a link to the many many many neighborhood councils of LA...Also City council District Reps...Dennis Zine is Reseda too...

@LA Los Angeles City Councils/Mayors/Councilmen in Southern California including Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County and Ventura County

You need to scroll down the page a bit to see...

The council voted for Safe Access For All. The other burgs have to vote and we'll see if each councils district has enough votes to override Dennis Zine. btw...On Wikipedia, did Dennis Zine pose like Dr. Evil on purpose?

If I'm not mistaken isn't Dennis Zine for the medical marijuana movement? If so why are we taking shots at him when he is one of the main persons that can help this situation.

Re: Victory for MMJ at Tarzana Neighborhood Council Meeting

I can tell you the view from the cheap seats in SD. Zine was elected as a friend to MMJ. He now is opposing MMJ. Excuse me, I have to go get another bag of popcorn, the next part should really be good!
