Evans, 48 , was arrested Aug. 10 on a Paradise Police Department warrant charging driving with a suspended license, willful disobedience and failure to appear. Bail set at $10,000. Also arrested on a Butte County Sheriff's Office warrant. Bail set at $10,000. Booked into Butte County Jail. Ben T. Evans, 48 , was arrested Aug. 10 on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Booked into Butte County Jail. Nicholas Strusis, 25 , was arrested Aug. 10 on suspicion of driving without a license. Cited to appear and released. Norris C. Godsey, 71 , was arrested Aug. 11 on suspicion of burglary. Booked into Butte County Jail. Donald R. Summers, 53 , was arrested Aug. 11 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Cited and released form the station. Kelly Marie Barton, 42 , was arrested Aug. 11 on a Chico Police Department warrant charging failure to appear and possession of heroin or cocaine. Bail set at $5,000. Booked into Butte County Jail. Kenneth Duchi, 21 , was arrested Aug. 12 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Cited to appear and released to a responsible party. Ollie Ray Latronica, 46 , was arrested Aug. 12 on a Fremont Police Department misdemeanor warrant charging being under the influence of a controlled substance. No bail. Also arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license. Booked into Butte County Jail. Cherie Laro, 37 , was cited to appear Aug. 13 for a Butte County Sheriff's Office infraction warrant. Bail set at $500. Accidents Justin Kling was involved in a non-injury accident Aug. 10 on Clark and Pearson roads. Robert Bay, 45, and Donald Gibbons, 80, were involved in an injury accident Aug. 10 on Skyway. Jim Bozzer, 69, was involved in a non-injury accident Aug. 10 on Elliott Road and Skyway. Bradley Berggren, 47, and John Stanley Martin, 63, were involved in an injury accident Aug. 12 at Safeway. Paradise Friday, Aug. 10 7:02 a.m., suspicious person on the 5300 block of Clark Road. Reporting party reports seeing a red pest control truck and has seen the truck in the neighborhood previously. Reporting party returned home to check on dogs and found they were frightened. Documentation taken. 8:25 a.m., annoying phone calls on the 8500 block of Skyway. Reporting party reports subject has been calling the residence all night long. Options given. 9:17 a.m., burglary on the 600 block of Circlewood Drive. Report of entry to a residence and $400 in cash taken. Report taken. 9:43 a.m., civil problem on the 500 block of Pearson Road. Reporting party rents from business behind Paradise Realty and is having a yard sale. Landlord told them to shut it down or reporting party's customers will be arrested for trespassing. Determined to be a civil issue. Options given. 4:14 p.m., civil problem. Reporting party fired the property manager a couple of weeks ago and has not been able to reach her by phone or e-mail. Subject has about $3,000 of reporting party's funds. Civil options given. 4:34 p.m., petty theft at Paradise Intermediate School. Reporting party states his chrome 12-speed Mongoose bicycle was stolen from school in June. 6:36 p.m., grand theft on the 6600 block of Clark Road. Reporting party says a wallet containing $401 in cash was taken out of her purse within the past hour. Report taken. 9:04 p.m., suspicious person at the CMA Church. Report of two vehicles parked with their lights on near the storage shed. Location checked and subjects were gone upon arrival. 10:14 p.m., disturbing the peace on the 6000 block of Sawmill Road. Report of a female subject outside yelling at a male subject. Subjects appears intoxicated. Subject contacted and determined she was having a heated phone conversation with her ex-boyfriend. 10:50 p.m., suspicious person. Report of subjects going in and out of a house under construction. Determined subjects were part of construction crew. Saturday, Aug. 11 12:13 a.m., suspicious person at Kings Tavern. Report of subjects behind business. No problem found. Determined subjects were just smoking cigarettes. 3:19 a.m., disturbing the peace on the 5200 block of Clark Road. Report of a hysterical female caller who says she and a friends were jumped. Caller was verbally belligerent and dispatcher was unable to obtain further information before she hung up. Area checked and unable to locate subject. 3:40 a.m., disturbing the peace on the 5200 block of Old Clark Road. Reporting party says an unknown subject came into her home and started hitting her. Reporting party contacted and no injuries reported. 8:37 a.m., vandalism on the bike path. Report of benches that were vandalized with acrylic paint. Photos and documentation taken. 10:52 a.m., suspicious person on the 6300 block of Clark Road. Reporting party saw a small child crying for its mother in front of Mountain Mikes Pizza. Area checked. 11:59 a.m., civil problem. Reporting party says a neighbor is tearing out surveying markers over a property dispute. Civil options given. 1:56 p.m., burglary on the 900 block of Deer Creek Lane. Reporting party says a subject broke into the residence and stole a computer and subject is still there. 2:15 p.m., disturbing the peace. Reporting party says her 18-year-old daughter is being combative and left on foot. 2:18 p.m., petty theft on the 7300 block of Skyway. Reporting party reports a coin box to the vacuums was broken into recently. Report taken. 5:39 p.m., civil problem on the 5500 block of Belviso Terrace. Reporting party says a neighbor has cut reporting party's peach tree and sprayed herbicide on the easement. Options given to both parties. 11:00 p.m., suspicious person at Kings Tavern. Report of three subjects consuming alcohol outside of location. Subjects contacted and advised to continue drinking inside. No further action taken. 11:51 p.m., disturbing the peace at Paulson's Motel. Reporting party says five to six intoxicated subjects in a blue van have been harassing him. Subjects left prior to officer arrival. Area checked. Sunday, Aug. 12 10:21 a.m., suspicious person on the 6300 block of Frank Turner. Reporting party says intoxicated subject was at residence. Reporting party asked subject to leave and subject left on foot with reporting party's daughter and granddaughter. Subject contacted and advised not to return to residence. 10:26 a.m., disturbing the peace on Clark Road. Reporting party reports a possible domestic dispute at Clark Road Storage. A male subject is screaming obscenities and threatening to harm a female subject. Area checked and contacted a female who denied involvement. No further action taken. 10:58 a.m., city ordinance violation on the 5500 block of Logan. Reporting party says a subject dumped tires, a battery, wires and cement in reporting party's yard. Subject contacted and admonished. 5:45 p.m., suspicious person on the 5300 block of Clark Road. Reporting party closed door to shed and the shop and believes someone climbed through the window and locked reporting party outside. Documentation taken. 5:54 p.m., suspicious person on the 800 block of Luther Drive. Reporting party reports subjects loitering in the field next to Longs Drugs. 5:57 p.m., suspicious person on the 1600 block of Log Cabin. Reporting party says five to six male subjects are smoking marijuana in the street. Subject contacted who has a medical marijuana permit. Group asked to move inside. 9:15 p.m., disturbing the peace on the 7200 block of Skyway. Reporting party says her sister is fighting with her boyfriend. Subjects contacted and determined to be a verbal argument only. No further action taken. 9:25 p.m., vandalism on Honey Run Road. Butte County sheriff's request an area check for two juvenile females reported to be painting graffiti on the roadway. Area checked but unable to locate subjects. Monday, Aug. 13 1:41 a.m., disturbing the peace on south Libby Road. Report of a verbal altercation between a male and a female. Situation self-adjusted and subjects are now quiet. Rep Power: 159074 | Re: For The Record Tuesday, Aug. 14 OK...I think I get it. There is at least one cop in that town who doesn't think mj smokers should be arrested. Actually, when I lived back east I used to party with a guy who was taking tests to be a cop at the same time. There are a "few" out there. |
