i was glad to hear everything that came out of melissa etheridge's mouth. she is a great benifit to our movement. especially when she said "you dont smoke medical marijuana to get high. you smoke it to feel normal" :thumbup:

i do have one question tho. howd the cnn news crew get in the farmacy budroom without a script? anderson cooper was even holding some goods :001_tt2:

So, I was thinking about something...

If the cotton industry is so worried about hemp, why don't cotton farmers just switch over to hemp? If fuel companies are worried, why don't they just start utilizing hemp as a fuel, to replace their current product?

The more and more I think about it, the more I don't understand. There's always this idea that these industries will not go away quietly, and will fight to maintain their place in the world of trade... and that makes sense, in theory. But I don't understand why the corporations that peddle these products just don't advance to the next step? How would they go broke if they just replaced one product with another?

Or am I missing something? I actually did pay attention in Economics class during high school, because it interested me, and I did very well too... I just don't remember much of it now.

You can't grow hemp in the U.S. We buy it from Canada. Makes zero sense. Unless hemp would seriously put a dent in the Cotton industry, then I see why they'd be nervous. Also I'm not sure if there are "patents" on cotton goods or not. You couldn't patent hemp.

CNN is heavily subsidized by pharmeceutical companies.

she was very credible. marijuana caused problems in her life. but let me point something out tho... if you give someone a bottle of percocet and they take the whole bottle in 4 days and go crazy is it the doctors or the medicines fault? no its the person fault for not controlling themselves. it is obvious this person with bi-polar was never supposed to have been recommended cannabis, she searched out a doctor on her own and didnt even bother asking her current one. she also didnt try to control her own usage and started toking as much as she possibly could... of course she built up a tolerence and the meds stopped working. and of course this led to her bi-polar disorder going overboard.. this kind of thing doesnt just happen with cannabis, tons of conventional bi-polar meds have had less than appropriate mental side effects.

I think Melissa Ethridge spoke very well on our behalf and had quite a touching story. The teacher on the other hand, who was against MMJ, was a pretty sad story. I actually felt bad for what she went through during those times, but it was most definitely not due to her cannabis use, but rather her refusal to take her lithium. MMJ and MJ in general are great for many purposes without question, but it is by no means a cure all. People, PLEASE keep taking your regular Rx if you're in need of it, and don't use MMJ as a scapegoat..

I will be watching or TiVoing(is that even a word???) it again tonight...

Anti-drug propoganda has NEVER been credible... it's always been the most far-fetched, ill-conceived nonsense infested with absurdities that it's always been. Their desperation shows. And the people who do eat it up are senseless sheep driven by blind allegiance, thus they're much too timid to ever pose a threat to us anyway.

This is one reason the government, police, etc. are so imbecilic. They're trying to build an army of supporters for their side, but they only end up recruiting the most frail of fighters... mentally lazy, emotionally unstable, people who can't think for themselves. If I had an army of people like this coming after me, it really wouldn't be too hard to take them all out. It could be easily achieved just by turning their own weaknesses against them.

Well, I already use hemp products, and there are many different ones available. Personally, I have used hemp rolling papers (in the past), have hemp clothing, and I drink hemp milk and eat the hemp ice cream (made from the hemp milk), as well as eat the raw hemp seeds. There's even more hemp products available already. So basically, I'm just not understanding this whole thing. :001_unsure:
