Rep Power: 47841 | A frequent claim made by opponents of marijuana policy reform is that hardly anybody is ever really arrested for low-level marijuana offenses. But like most prohibitionist arguments, that’s a lie.In California, where marijuana possession was “decriminalized” in 1976 and medical marijuana legalized 20 years later, the state Department of Justice reports that law enforcement conducted [...] To read more, visit the MPP Website by clicking here.. |

Rep Power: 4914 | Re: Police Focus on Marijuana a Danger to Public Safety i heard some statistic that 1/3 of people in jail in the US is because of marijuana related crimes. talk about a waste of the taxpayers mula. and IMHO i think that crimes in california have gone down due to marijuana being decriminalized. i think some people who were gonna go steal a car or hold up a bank smoked some cannabis and thought twice about committing a serious crime. haha one of my buddys got an MIP( minor in possession) he was 19. got his license revoked for a year. another one of my friends tried to get his license renewed but he had to pass a physical first, the nurse asked "do you smoke?" my friend says, "not cigarrettes." he askes her if it really makes a difference and she replies "no". She wrote down cannabis abuse and now my buddy cant get a license because of some biased nurse. the dmv's got too much power. Last edited by coldfire23mj; 11-04-2009 at 07:42 AM.. |
