Rep Power: 10697 | The story of Uncle Bong I aint much of a story teller or a english major but I am gonna attempt to tell the story of uncle bong. I got two options now and i am gonna let the poll results decide. anyways here a attempt at my story In the mid 90’s I had a friend named jimmy ![]() we would always hang out and smoke bud and just talk and listen to music usually our conversation always turned to uncle bong a piece of art really. ![]() ![]() ![]() Uncle bong had always been broke and we would always sit there trying to figure out ways to fix him but none of them worked.we vowed to get uncle bong functioning again but it was never to happen. In 1999 jimmy’s best friend was getting married and jimmy was the best man. We were all excited and ready to party. I myself have never been a drinker but jimmy used to be and decided that since his buddy was getting married in 3 days that he would spend 3 days drinking. Well I got to admit that jimmy was completely annoying in the next 3 day cause he was drunk 24/7 o.k. so it’s the wedding day and we all came together to celebrate. It went off perfectly ![]() so on the wedding night we all got rooms at the hilltop hotel in san Bernardino on university avenue. Well later that night jimmy got pissed off at me and I was pissed off at him for being a annoying drunk. He decided to go to taco bell and walk home… the next morning the police come and tell us that jimmy had decided to try and hop a train home that night and lost his footing(he was wearing sandals) and slipped under the train cutting him into 3 pieces.. we were devastated it went from a beautiful day to a tragic death in like 12 hours.. anyways to make a long story shorter I got uncle bong and vowed to make him work again for jimmy. Well here we are 10 years later and I have come to the realization that uncle bong will never work again and now I wonder what I should do with him.. 1. keep him in the closet 2. take it out to sea and put uncle bong to rest |

I would love to get uncle bong fixed but i not so positive that its possible let me explain.. first of all i think uncle bong is made of clay or cement or something i am not even sure but its not glass or porcelain. its almost as if uncle bong was one solid piece made from the inside out starting with the down stem. well the down stem is broke off inside uncle bong and sincethe down stem was a solid piece connected to his mouth its been impossible to fix. the only way to access that spot is thru the 1 inch hole in the top of the cowboy hat. i tried everything but maybe wicked sands or whatever knows how to fix him do they got a website or something? |

Rep Power: 0 | It would be a shame if you sent it out to sea without trying to fix it first. I think you owe that to yourself and Jimmy. Maybe one day you will find someone to fix him,,Good luck |

Rep Power: 145810 | Re: The story of Uncle Bong Take him to Wicked Sands or some other glass blower, if they can't fix him...see what it would cost to have them blow a similar piece. You should still keep Uncle Bong, but maybe now that he is retired he can have Cousin Bong as a friend, or maybe Nephew Pipe...that way you still can honor his memory and your friendship... |
