Soooo......

I suppose some of you know I was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year (Jan), and that I became a WAMM member. I have been pretty absent here on this board simply because what they were doing to me was making me very tired, and I was sleeping a lot. I was catheterized for about 4 months as well, and certainly don't want to do that again if I can help it. (As a matter of fact I don't recommend ANY of this to anybody!)

Here's what they did (tune out if this is tmi): It's called "hormone therapy" and they basically chemically castrate you. Not pleasant, but preferable to leaving this here show early. After 3-4 months of that, it was radiation every day (M-F) for 3 months. I just got done with that part last week, and now we wait. In the meantime, the side fx of radiation are not as nasty, although they are there. That's where the MMJ really helps. Also with sleep.

So, about in the middle of all this, I started hanging around with a MC that my neighbor belonged to at his invitation. I was able to start riding again even before the cath came out. One thing led to another, and I am now not only full patch, but an officer as well. I have been pretty busy with the club, and that has burned up my time also.

That's about it so far. I have not been playing very much since I have been concentrating on getting well, but things are starting to pick up again.

And that's been my summer vacation so far......
