Rep Power: 42763 | Green Dreamin' - “A True Intellect of Facts and Perspective of the Genus; Cannabis” Cannabis sativa formally known as marijuana or hemp is the next leading generation of used products upon industrialized civilization for the world. Cannabis has known to be found as early as 7000 B.C. Around 3500 B.C. the Chinese were implementing hemp seeds as a source of food and nutrition. The first hemp law enacted in the United States took place in Jamestown Colony, Virginia in 1619. This law declared all farmers to grow fields of hemp, any farmer not willing to cooperate was placed in jail. “Make the most of hemp, sow it everywhere.” (George Washington; 1794) This since has been outlawed and the United States is among the industrialized countries which do not produce, manufacture and sell the goods of hemp. This implementation causes for the country to rely upon import of such products from other countries. Its vegetation is one of the highest beneficial products as it could only and would only implement itself into everyday use in general civilization, once accepted. Hemp has many beneficial properties associated within this single plant, it has the capability of producing edible foods that can be used in everyday cooking with substantial health gaining attributes, ethanol fuel which could create a clean environment for the transportation industry and would eliminate the majority of purchasing foreign oils at high costs, clothing which would reduce the production and use of cotton as well as numerous other fabrics used today due to the ease that hemp would create in such an industry, accompanied by medicine. It’s an all in one beneficial plant. The fibers of the hemp plant are of such beneficiaries every fabric, furnishing, and building company would have an efficient low costing product that would excesses the productions of the now implemented uses of products; concrete, paper, bedding. There is lots of different ways this one plant can attribute to the positivity of civilization. We must take advantage of this useful resource and implement it into everyday society for its beneficial assessments. The legalization of cannabis hemp would allow us as creatures of the planet to save itself, it would reduce deforestation, as you would be able to rejuvenate the soils using hemp fiber, as well as create fuels which would allow us to reverse the greenhouse affect we’ve created along the years. Cannabis as medicine is found to be the most natural beneficial therapeutic alleviate available on the market to mankind throughout history. This single plant has such powerful alleviate subsidies that it may alleviate anything from sleep to pain and allergies to skin disease. It is the future for the pharmaceutical industry as Cannabinoids become synthesized, which will then eliminate opiate and amphetamine based medicines that are vastly used today and cause much harm to the human body as well as other harmful chemically based medicines that are vastly used and readily available to patients. It wasn’t until 1964 when an Israeli scientist condoned a clinical research at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel which had synthesized Delta 9 – THC for medicinal clinic testing’s. Prohibition was implemented on the people as of 1937 when the Marijuana Tax Act was passed into law; this law would have made a citizen have to self-incriminate him/her self as to obey legislation. What this country has done is cause much more damage than it could have ever done, it has not only put billions of tax dollars to absurd wastes as today and tomorrow these drug rings will still be around but it has placed millions of personal offenders with minor possessions into the criminality system, this then does not allow an offender to be viewed as a normal civilized human. This system creates a much more difficult time for a person to obtain a job, be accepted a loan, right to vote, and many other substantial aspects of life that are eliminated from one’s self conscious. This reading may implement many different views and feelings among readers and maybe even make the reader think twice about what they’re being told out in public on a day to day basis. Hemp has been found to date back as far as ten thousand years ago, to the Asian region of the globe. Hemp was found to be commonly used in many cultures during that time. Hemp can produce very beneficial goods such as foods and clothing, as well as it’s strongly implemented natural medicinal values. Rick Simpson is one of those who have studied the medicinal properties of hemp. Rick is a Canadian who had encountered a serious head injury, he was prescribed numerous of pharmaceuticals which had no alleviate attributes and contributed to incoherence of memory. Simpson was told there was nothing more they can do to alleviate his ailment, Rick then pointed to the resin gland found on the cannabis hemp plant. He created this hemp oil which he claims to be “The Cure for Cancer!” The hemp oil produced had to be made of the highest quality hemp genus and must be concentrated properly to affectively alleviate a medical ailment. The hemp oil may be administered three different ways; oral ingestion of the oil, vaporization of the oil, as well as using it as a topical ointment. The most effective and proficient way found to be used is through oral ingestion. This hemp oil is found to cure the following ailments; skin conditions, diabetes, infection, glaucoma, arthritis, chronic pain, burns, ulcers, warts and moles, any form of cell mutation, migraine and headaches, asthma, insomnia, anxiety, depression, regulate weight, heal scar tissue and rejuvenates vital organs as well. “I want people to know how to heal themselves.”(Simpson; Run from The Cure; Video) The natural side-effects of the hemp oil are health and happiness, as the only active ingredient is all natural Delta 9 – THC resin glands.“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.”(Thomas Jefferson; marijuana-quotes) This single plant which contains less than 0.5% THC was the material being used to write on the first two copies of the declaration of independence in 1776. The United States of America is the only industrialized country on the planet that does not produce, manufacture, and sell the goods of hemp and must rely upon its imports. Hemp wasn’t only legal in the States before the thirties it was its largest agriculture producer! The United States relied on Hemp. The United States Department of Agriculture created a movie titled “Hemp for Victory!” which articulated the positive uses of the hemp plant fibers. The Nina, The Pinta, and The Santa Maria were all dedicates of the use of hemp from their sails to the ropes they used on board, all made of hemp fibers. Its old news come on! Until the thirties marijuana was known as cannabis in the United States, when prohibition was introduced and the majority of the communities that were being affected for minimal possessions were the Hispanics and the African Americans. The United States then adopted the name marijuana which was the Hispanic term used for the plant as it was implemented on targeting minorities. The new beginning of an industry like this that would rise from its yesteryears would create billions of new opportunities and billions of dollars in generated revenues annually. It is considered the largest cash crop with a value of over fourteen billion annually in California alone. This number is well over cotton, carrots, lettuce, grapes, peppers, tomatoes, and watermelon combined. A well known cannabis and hemp activist by the name of Jack Herer once said “If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction were banned in order to save the planet, reverse the Greenhouse Effect and stop deforestation; then there is only one known annually renewable natural resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world's paper and textiles; meet all of the world's transportation, industrial and home energy needs, while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time... and that substance is the same one that did it all before .Cannabis Hemp, Marijuana!” (http://www.hulu.com/; Emperor of Hemp: The Jack Herer Story) Recreational use of cannabis is widely found throughout the world. There are many different ways a recreational user may put use of their cannabis. The most common way of use is to be found as a joint which is a marijuana cigarette followed by glass water pipes which allows the smoke to be filtered by water and implements a cleaner smoke. It is still highly recommended among recreational users the option of vaporizing appose to smoking their product. This is a substance that is very commonly found to be experimental with persons eighteen and under. The use of cannabis among minors is a factor all parents fear. It is as on the same level with alcohol, as they don’t want their child experimenting with these substances until they have further developed themselves and have the choice of considering the experimental use of substances. Today it is easier for a minor to obtain marijuana than any other substance; this is something we want taken care of. Today the kids are buying weed off a street dealer who can one day end up affecting that person more in a physical or mental way than the actual weed they’re smoking itself. It is important for parents to speak with their kids and explain the risks of cannabis use at an early age, it is a product that will be accepted within civilization and should not be considered a feared one. As it is a substance, it would need a regulatory system appointed upon it. All truth has come out and the recreational use of cannabis for adults twenty one and over is completely safe and is much safer than the recreational use of alcohol and or tobacco products. The provinces of Canada have decriminalized the extent of marijuana to be of their lowest priority upon law enforcement. This has caused for many of the Canadian communities to be abundant with grow operations since the fear of prosecution is very minimal. It has been said the North Western part of the United States as well as the South Western part of Canada supply over 1/3 of North America’s product. These grow operation sizing up to family homes which are filled with plants and sun mimicking light products as well as nutrients end up supplying a high quality of flower to the black market to be sold on the streets and funded to cartels and organized crime. People have moved in from all over the country to take advantage of this situation. There is a high demand on such a product which allows for the supply and demand theory to fall into play. Future legalization should be taken into consideration as these scientifically researched cases come up and show no motive of any problematic harm to mankind. There has not been one case in thousands of years of recorded history a death caused by the use of marijuana alone, it simply doesn’t happen! The recreational use of cannabis can be the next biggest boom in the industrialized community as it would mimic the alcohol industry very distinctively and would create a whole new community among society. The effectiveness of creating a community that approves the recreational use of cannabis would be the most ideal and beneficial task that can be assessed. This is due to the fact that the product would be regulated and would have to be permitted to sell by a licensed location as alcohol and tobacco is. This would create a much more difficult route for teens to obtain the substance. This would as well make a safer environment as it would weaken the power of the international cartels operating, growing, and running organized crime within and around the country’s borders. Marijuana is found to be known as the gateway drug in recreational users. These studies have since been scientifically proven wrong and show no motive that marijuana causes users to experiment with other substances that are much harmful to the human body. Recreational users should always conduct research findings before use and always consider the option of vaporizing their products as appose to smoking due to the large margin of health related issues between the two. Anything you “smoke” is bad. For user who would not implement this health cause they would have the premier of rehabilitation and or health research provided the large tax subsidies that the government would collect on such an industry. Harry J Anslinger implemented the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937. This act implemented a one dollar tax stamp for people in the business of cannabis or hemp productions and was not assessed to target personal possession of the substance. Anslingers wife was the niece of Andrew Mellon, the Secretary of the United States Treasure who appointed Anslinger to be the commissionaire for the then newly created Federal Bureau of Narcotics. Anslinger had high thoughts of the positivity of imprisoning citizens on low or minimal prosecutions assessed with a high fine. If Anslingers motives were to be implemented in today’s society it would cause mad devastation among families and people themselves. “Prohibition means you don’t control the product, it means you give up the right to control the product!” (Drug Czar Debate; 2009) On that very same day of August 2nd 1937 when the Act passed the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as Denver police raided the Lexington Hotel to arrest a man by the name of Samuel R Caldwell, 58 at the time. He was the first victim of the Tax Act and was jailed for four years on a two marijuana cigarette sale, the buyer was charged and sentenced to eighteen months. In 1969 a United States Supreme Court held a case Leary vs. USA which dealt with the constitutionality of the Marijuana Tax Act. Timothy Leary was an activist as well as a professor who was arrested on a personal possession charge for disobeying the implemented tax act. Leary won the case and stated the Marijuana Tax Act is unconstitutional as you must self-incriminate yourself to obey the law which violates your Fifth Amendment rights. Leary had a Ph. D in Clinical Psychology from the University of California. Timothy Leary had created a movement that was willing to go against the government in the findings that the laws are being written unlawfully and should be reassessed to follow appropriate legislation. This mentality has gained a great popularity as many organizations are doing such, in massive numbers and trying to reveal the truths about how people feel on this tender subject. The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws also found to be known as NORML was founded in 1970 by Keith Stroup. Stroup is an attorney trying to figure a proper way to retrieve the opinion of the community on the repeal of the cannabis prohibition. "To lie about your drug use, even to your kids, suggests there is something wrong with it and I don't think there is. It's perfectly fine. It's perfectly reasonable to authorize something for adults that we don't authorize for kids."(Stroup; High: The True Tale of American Marijuana; Video) NORML lobbies state and federal legislators in support of reform legislation. The donations contributed to The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Law are non tax deductible in this case. NORML supports the farmer’s movement of farming non psychoactive hemp for industrial uses in the United States. The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Law appointed in 2009 to newly elected President Obama asking for his drug czar to consider the use of cannabis a health issue as appose to a war on drugs. The “War on Drugs” was introduced in 1971 by former President Richard Nixon. This so called “War on Drugs” was a very unlawful idea of some fellow politicians in that era. While cannabis was being prohibited and in tries of eradication from the country, cigarettes were still widely available for consumers to purchase although it was and still is the country’s largest death associate concluding an annual death rate of four hundred thousand, followed by alcohol at eighty five thousand deaths, caffeine at ten thousand annually, and aspirin at just over seven thousand deaths. Where does cannabis fall in on this chart? Absolutely zero, to date there has not been one case of an annual death rate from the use of cannabis. The country still inherits its prohibition motives to continue the ban. This was an era with no clinical scientific research and was based upon the simplicities of propaganda. This propaganda was implemented by William Randolph Hearst who followed Anslingers’ beliefs on the marijuana plant. “Being arrested for marijuana is more harmful and damaging than any pharmacological, toxicological or other form of harm.” (Dr. John Morgan, M.D. Professor of Pharmacology; Marijuana | It’s time for a conversation) Hearst was born in 1863 to a very wealthy family. The Hearst family was a strong holder of main industrial productions; news paper, wood mills, private owned land to grow trees for wood. Up until today activist believe that Hearst was against marijuana as it would have affected his operations with the production of wood processing. Hearst owned most of the media companies located out of the United States during that time period. Hearst considered himself worthy of the “Yellow Journalism” title. Hearst had spent many years at Harvard learning the highest module of media exposure. William Hearst is the owner of the Hearst Castle which is today a museum in the North Western California coastal region. The castle sits on about one hundred thirty acres and took over twenty eight years to construct an unfinished dream building which Hearst had imagined of. Under the Nixon Administration they had created what was called the Control Substance Act of 1970 which was categorized under the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970, which had legislated into branching into five separate classified schedules; schedule one which implemented substances with a high rate of abuse, no accepted medicinal values and may not be recommended or prescribed to use by a physician, which is where cannabis falls in as of today. Schedule two which implements a substance which has a high rate of abuse with accepted medicinal benefits, but may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence. These medications can be formally considered to be known as Cocaine, Oxycodone, and Morphine to name a couple. Schedule three substance which shows has less potential for abuse than schedule one or two substance, which has accepted medical treatments as well as leading to low physical or high psychological dependence. Medications classified under this class are found to be Anabolic Steroids, Ketamine, as well as Marinol to elaborate an idea of medicine implemented in Schedule three. Schedule four substance have a similarity with schedule three substances as appose to schedule four have a limited physical dependence or psychological dependence rather than a low physical or psychological dependence. Xanax, Valium and Abmbien can be recommended for use under this specific classified listing. Schedule five substances mimic schedule four appose to the lower potential of abuse found in schedule five. Schedule five medications can be of cough suppressants as well as diarrhea alleviates. The National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse also to be found as the Shafer Commission which was chaired by Ronald P Shafer under the Nixon Administration as how to handle the marijuana issue in the country. The Commission recommended to Nixon the decriminalization of simple possession. “The criminal law is too harsh a tool to apply to personal possession even in the effort to discourage use. It implies an overwhelming indictment of the behavior which we believe is not appropriate. The actual and potential harm of use of the drug is not great enough to justify intrusion by the criminal law into private behavior, a step which our society takes only with the greatest reluctance.”(Shafer; The Report) This since has not worked out and has landed millions of personal possession and private users of cannabis into our overfilled prisons system which has caused nothing but harm to the human beings who use cannabis that is foremost safer than any other ingestible substance to mankind. The United States spends roughly forty billion, yes billion dollars on the war on drugs, annually. In 2003 it was recorded the federal government alone spent over nineteen billion dollars funding the “War on Drugs”, this number has only been increasing in the billions since. 2007 held its record for the highest number to ever be recorded in incarcerating people on marijuana related charges, this was 872,720 people arrested. Of those arrested eighty nine percent, over seven hundred fifty thousand people were charged for simple personal possession. To date, we have roughly spent over one TRILLION dollars fighting this “War on “America”.” We have created a war on the people of our own; this condition is found to be unconstitutional in all attributed aspects within the subject. Medicinal use of cannabis is found to be the most natural beneficial alleviate option any person can partake through. Numerous ailments can be alleviated by one or numerous of the thirty Cannabinoids found within the cannabis plant who have the most natural beneficial medicinal values, although none are used vastly in today's pharmaceutical market. Each and every Cannabinoid synthesized would create such a vast array of alleviates in every category from stress to insomnia and chronic pain to your average persons allergies. It would be a much needed change in medicine. Pfizer, Bayer, and many other pharmaceutical companies are seeking high interest in using Cannabinoids therapeutically. There are two pharmaceutical companies’ who have synthesized Cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. PAR Pharmaceutical Companies has synthesized Delta 9 - Tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly found to be known as dronabinol which is found as Marinol in the pharmacopeia, which is FDA approved, schedule three substance that can be prescribed by a physician for ailments of chemotherapy, hunger inducement, and AIDS syndrome symptoms. GW Pharmaceuticals located in the United Kingdom has created Sativex which has both synthesized Delta 9 - THC as well as the cannabidiol (CBD), which has had much more success in trials on patients than the Marinol ( Delta 9 -THC, alone). Both of these medications would be adequately appropriate for recommendation to stress and anxiety related disorders as well as appetite enhancer and pain reliever. Sativex is not yet recognized as medicine ready in the United States. Many other countries are using this product and patients are finding much beneficial results. The combination of the Cannabinoids is concentrated into a liquid which is dispensed by being sprayed into the mouth, preferably under the tongue as the medicine is adequately transferred throughout the body alleviating its desired ailment. It wasn’t until 1964 that the compound Delta 9 – THC was revealed synthetically. This work was conducted by Raphael Mechoulam. Raphael Mechoulam was born in 1930 in Bulgaria, he has since migrated to Jerusalem and had made it his permanent destination. Mechoulam is a professor for the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products at the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. His discovery of Delta 9- THC created a whole new field for medicine. In 1964 the scientifically engineered research that was being conducted was taken place at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Mechoulam has since been able to synthesize this Cannabinoid which is known as Dronabinol which has helped implement the FDA approved drug Marinol. Dr. Mechoulam is said to be recognized as the world’s expert on Cannabinoid based medicine. He has received many awards and is a member of the ‘Israel Academy of Science’. Raphael has been known to take the ‘Israel Prize’ numerous of times which is considered the highest national scientific prize in Israel. Of the thirty Cannabinoids the most commonly found ones are as listed; Delta 9 – Tetrahydrocannabinol, Cannabidiol, Cannabinol, Cannabichromene, Cannabigerol, Delta 8 – Tetrahydrocannabinol as well as Tetrahydocannabivarin. Each of these Cannabinoids has their own distinctive properties to alleviate a wide array of ailments. Using these synthesized Cannabinoids and combining them with other legitimate non health risk medicines you can achieve such a high beneficiary level that has never been seen before in medicine. Not only beneficial part of the subject using these synthesized Cannabinoids you would be eliminating many of today's medicines from pain alleviates to allergy medications that contain synthesized cocaine, opium, amphetamine and such products that are very harmful to the human body, even when administered proficiently. Marc Emery is known as “The Prince of Pot”. This Canadian activist-entrepreneur is being accused of the responsibility of producing over one million pounds of marijuana which is singly the only human that has ever to produce such an amount other than Mother Earth herself. Marc Emery is the publishing founder of Cannabis Culture magazine which is a Canadian based magazine on marijuana. It has had much success on stands throughout North America today. The Prince of Pot had a well distinguished cannabis seed distributing company out of Vancouver, Canada called Emery Seeds. Marc had been extensively pushing his seed company everywhere from magazines to the biggest rallies. Marc Emery made millions of dollars attributed to his cannabis friendly atmosphere, most of his money earned was donated in the millions to charities and initiatives to be funded for the legalization of marijuana in both Canada and the United States. “I only keep enough money to survive efficiently, all my other revenues are donated to the legalization movement.”(Emery, “The Prince of Pot”;Video) July 29, 2005 United States DEA agents subjected Canadian police to raid and arrest Emery and his activist partners. The DEA states that Emery is the leading subject in all major grow operations. It was estimated that Marc Emery sold over two million cannabis seeds to United States buyers. One seed equals one plant, one plant equals five to forty years, one thousand plants equal ten to life, considering Marc Emery sold over two million seeds this makes Marc a candidate of facing a life sentence two thousand consecutive times. Marc has seemed to provide many seeds contributed to the medicinal cannabis strain directory. Emery was considered top forty six drug traffickers in the world by United States officials.(U.S. Officials, “The Prince of Pot”;Video). In late September 2009 Marc had agreed to a plea deal as to plead guilty on one case of accusation of selling cannabis seed to the United States as appose to two other felony charges which will mandate an extradition and a 5 year sentence served 85% (four years and two months) in the United States, with no parole. As of today there are thirteen medical marijuana states within the United States of America, there are eight other states awaiting legislation. Medical marijuana began in California in 1996 when the voters of California chose to implement the Compassionate Use Act of 1996 which allowed the use of medical marijuana to be consumed by residents of age with legitimate medical conditions. Proposition 215 exempted patients from being prosecuted for possessing and or cultivating medicine for personal use under Attorney General Guidelines. This as well allowed a licensed California physician the right to recommend the medicinal use of cannabis to any persons of age with a legitimate medical ailment. Senate Bill 420 was enacted into law in 1996 as well. This was to clarify between patient, advocates, and law enforcement what the guidelines will be and how things need to be assessed. This today does not have too much clarification on how things are properly suppose to be handled, there are many grey areas built into the laws when they were written thirteen plus years ago and need to be revised substantially so a well safe bound community can function adequately. Due to the facts that there is no regulatory system adhered to the medical marijuana laws in the state it has lead to many criminating influences upon the medical community. An average person can obtain a recommendation from a licensed physician. Which then allows a person to create a cooperative or a collective which is a place where patients who are unable to grow their own medicine can obtain it through these store front collectives. These store fronts have found to be very common in California and have found studies that there are more collectives operating in California as a store front than Star Bucks, McDonalds, and Subway combined. It has created a convenience upon the patients of proposition 215. It allows for patients who possess a legitimate doctor’s recommendation for the use of cannabis to obtain their medicine at such locations. This as well allows those patients to create a collective of their own while taking advantage of the abundance of store fronts in California creating a for profit situation. A true collective must operate on very low or minimal funding within the collective itself. Members of a collective may grow up to 6 mature or 12 immature plants per patient, county zonings may implement at different numbers. This case has lead to organized crime entering the industry that obtain a medical recommendation for the use of marijuana with a legitimate cause, create a collective, but are in the cause for the “California Medical Marijuana Gold Rush”, which is implemented for profits only. This situation has gained much popularity in California as more citizens are willing to reside in California as to start a production for the well manipulated industry which creates generous cash revenues. This situation has condoned to becoming a massive unregulated industry with profits in the billions on an annual basis, medically. A new system must be created as to being able to supply patients safely. The way the law’s implemented no value of federal cash note can be exchanged within the process of obtaining medicine. Many collectives accept a “donation” to try and bypass this case but these donations still have a face note cash value to them. Your medicine must fall into your lap for you to obey legislation which can be considered unconstitutional unless you’re growing your own. These collectives have now been found to be running inappropriately with wrong documentations as to the way the law is written. The federal level of government needs to accept the medicinal benefits of cannabis and take advantage of the profitable revenue generating industry. There are many sick people out there who can benefit from this plant and need the safest access for their therapuetical benefits as citizens of the country. Americans for Safe Access is an organization based out of Washington, D.C. It is concluded to be the largest member based organization consisting between patients, medical professionals, scientist, as well as concerned citizens looking for the safest way to receive the therapeutical benefits that cannabis may offer. People who use the medicinal values of cannabis should consider the great health benefits that can be achieved by vaporizing the medicine as appose to smoking the flower. A key factor in vaporizing is that you’re eliminating the carbon dioxide associated with using a flame which can be harmful to the body. While vaporizing you are only extracting three main psychoactive and non psychoactive Cannabinoids at roughly 270 degrees Fahrenheit, these are formally known to be Delta 9 – THC, CBD, as well as CBN, with this benefit you eliminate roughly three hundred ninety five chemicals that are associated while using an open fire. The human brain naturally produces a compound that is very similar to the one found in the cannabis plant, these compounds are called endogenous Cannabinoids also found to be known as endocannabinoids. Medicinal use of cannabis is found to be of great benefit within analgesic alleviate properties. The Compassionate Investigational New Drug Study which started in 1978 provided seven patients with medicinal marijuana cigarettes every month, provided by the government. Two of these seven are remained anonymous, one has passed and the other four left are still receiving marijuana cigarettes provided by the United States government on a monthly basis. The Compassionate Investigational New Drug Study was constructed after Robert Randall a man suffering from glaucoma filed a lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration, Drug Enforcement Administration, National Institute of Drug Abuse, Department of Justice, as well as the Department of Health, Education and Welfare which he then argued the medicinal necessities of this plant for his personal health. This was all done in contributions to the prosecution of Randall’s cultivation of medicine. Irvin Rosenfeld is the most open and expressive of the known users; he suffers from a rare bone disorder and has been in the program for almost 30 years. Irvin uses ten to twelve marijuana joints daily to alleviate his pains. "It’s bad enough when you have a devastating disease that you are trying to fight. And then when you find a medicine that actually works for you, you are labeled as a criminal. It's just not right." (Rosenfeld; Compassionate Investigational New Drug program) Irvin picks up over 300 pre rolled marijuana cigarettes every month from a government run facility in Florida where it is all paid for and subsidized. Rosenfeld is considered a high profile, reputable stock broker who handles major accounts out of Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Irv is out to express that the government is in fact lying to its people as they are providing him with cannabis for medicinal purposes. “The problem with the government is that they “out” the research, as they don’t support the research of the considered medicine.”(Irv Rosenfeld; MPP) Full legalization of marijuana is something the community of the United States needs to consider deeply. It is of necessary best interest on repealing such prohibition on the people of the country. This has been a successful failure upon the United States Government within the past seventy five years of society. On November 2nd, 2010 the voters of California will have their choice on the ballot of passing the CA Cannabis Initiative of 2010, which will repeal the prohibition standings clear out of law and will lawfully allow persons of age twenty one and over to consume, cultivate and sell any part of the genus cannabis with no criminal penalties. All tax revenues generated will be spent on education, healthcare, environmental programs, public works, and state parks. There will as well be another initiative placed on the 2010 ballots, this is known as the Tax Cannabis 2010 initiative. This initiative is very similarly descriptive as the other but gives the right to higher tax implements as well as other public safety changes between the two. Subjects who would like to grow substantial crops would have to pay a revenue tax as part of the passing of the initiative. Whichever initiative is implemented would mean the state would repeal prohibition on its citizens. This is the goal of the people of the state. It is recommended everyone vote on all initiatives, as it would create a more likely chance of possible election. Initiatives passed would have a fiscal year in order for legislation to completely be implemented. Richard Lee the owner and operator of Oaksterdam University partnered in the finding of the Tax Cannabis 2010 Initiative and is being funded solely by Lee himself. Richard Lee is a pot-repreneur who has brought the Holland vibe of the Amsterdam to Oakland, CA. Richard runs the Oaksterdam University which teaches the implements of the cannabusiness and how things will be attributed in the future. Students of this college will have hands on up front realistic aspects of what will happen with the laws enacted and how the people of the country will overcome such a state of stability to prepare for the huge success increase brought within this uplifting industry. The four collectives and the university as well as hemp related stores all owned by Lee receive a generous tax value which gives the government a high rate of taxes based on marijuana implemented products. “I pay about $300,000 annually state taxes, and double that in federal.”(Richard Lee; Marijuana Inc.) The legalization of cannabis which would control, tax, and regulate the product which would create a whole new industry that would lead into billions of new opportunities to attribute to throughout the industry from opening a lounge where people are freely able to sit back relax and light up, preferably vaporize or to being a major producer of the flower product and distributing throughout the nation. Attributing such a necessity would not only clear up millions of people in jail for personal possession but would also ease up the law enforcement and federal agencies on one of the most sought after substances, this alone would save billions of dollars annually along with generating multi billions of dollars in revenue annually looking on the other end of the spectrum. Full legalization would make it that much more difficult for minors to obtain the product as it would be distributed by a location that is licensed and can lose this much quicker than obtained from the state. Another beneficial aspect of legalization is that you would cut the main source for the international cartels that operate, cultivate, and run organized crime with the country. The taxation, regulation, and control of cannabis is very economically beneficial as it will bring in a constant giant revenue which will uphold a stable economy throughout society and will make the country more accessible in export and import, building a stronger international trading system while the new industry uplifts itself. Since the Obama Administration has stepped into office marijuana has become much more mainstream and open to converse about such a subject in public. Although President Obama has stated he is not in favor of legalization, it’s the people who make the biggest impact, once a state legalizes the derivatives of cannabis others will notice the much success it has brought upon the officials as well as the people of the state and has generated economical stability upon its society. The tax that would be implemented on such legislation would have to be one of lawfulness and one that would create an economy which accepts the use of marijuana as it would revive the country’s standing points in numerous aspects. The people would be in implements of using this product after research, not necessarily for mind altering reasons, more as for the, health benefits of the edible creations of hemp and its seeds, the political as well the economical stability of the nation. The occurrence of legislation passing can be considered one of revolutionary as such an uptight governmental point is repealed. This would allow people to open up lounges just as people have opened hookah lounges where tobacco is used as well as bars and night clubs where alcohol is sold and consumed. It would be very mirror image of these ideas; it would create a new spectrum among people as they would be freely open to express their feelings and uses on marijuana. In such an atmosphere people would be able to be served food and beverages as well as enjoy live entertainment and sporting events. This creative idea that would immediately be taken into action after legislation is implemented would then create the next stimulus revenue generator for the country. We need to live above the ignorance and look at the scientifically proven facts that this substance has NO harmful perspectives to any adult and very minimal effects on minors and the developing brain, the answer is to legalize, regulate, control, tax, research, and make use of the most natural beneficial gift we have been given by Mother Earth! We the people must make acceptance of this plant and inform the people of positives within such an industry based in this country. The medicinal use of marijuana has been seeking much interest by patients themselves as well as major pharmaceutical firms who have been trying to study the Cannabinoids within the plant. This would create a massive change in the world of medicine, many alleviates which are based on chemicals harmful to the human body would have the best interest in eliminating one’s self as the Cannabinoids being introduced would be able to not only take over what the harmful toxins beneficial attributes are but reach such level of beneficiaries it has never been seen to human within the industry of medicines. The recreational use of cannabis can create an abundance of over generated revenue on an annual basis. It would emerge the hidden society and have such economical benefits such have never gone through. There would be an age limit of twenty one and over implemented on such legislation, this would be a very appropriate route to adhere towards the issue of legalization. The industrialized hemp community would create a vast array of goods attributed from the single plant alone. These specific beneficial aspects of the hemp plant would create food, fuel, oil, medicine, clothing, paper, furnishing, as well as many other highly beneficial products. Cannabis sativa can be found to be the next leading product for the future of industrialized civilization. This single diverse plant that has many beneficial aspects is unfortunately still prohibited within our country. People must live beyond the propaganda that William Randolph Hearst added to his newspapers as a request upon Anslinger during this time period. An act of such is far past unlawfulness and should be redeemed with repulsion as to prohibition. To date we have successfully failed on the “War on Drugs”, we have low time users and possessors behind bars while highly ranked cartel members are running today’s hottest international drug operations within our borders. This simple task of prohibition that was created gave up all the rights to control the substances; this leaves organized crime to care of that job. This has not only created conflict within our borders, it has leaded us to many long and ongoing international investigations which appreciate the substantial amount of federal government funds used in such cases. These cases would all be unnecessary if prohibition was never implemented upon its people. "Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."(Lincoln; Speech, 18 Dec. 1840) It’s highly encouraged by the people of the country to look beyond the government, do the research, and expand your mind abroad into what the truths are and what the differences are that political criminality brings upon its own. It will take time, money, and lots of power, but the processes of repealing prohibition has begun and it will be taken into full affect state wide following nationwide as more and more citizens become informed and intrigued on the acts behind our own government, we the people must make this CHANGE.
