| Don't watch scary movies before medicating...... Because you'll want to medicate right after...before.......and during the movie..... Probley because im a WUSS when it comes to scary movies BUT IM ADDICTED TO THEM ANYWAYS! After watching Saw 1 & 2 i downloaded Saw 3 off of my XBOX live marketplace(a place where u download movies.....tv shows....game demos,ect) for a cheap-free price....... Got half way through the 1st half last night(was FREAKING ME OUT) then decided to watch the rest.............................. BLOW MY FREAKIN MIND!!!!   NO MORE OF THIS WATCHING FREAKY MOVIE BEFORE BED TIME ONLY VIDEO GAMES FOR ME  |

I do not like any of the ones with violence against humans- don't find meaningless, or meaningful for that matter, violence against humans as being anything other than the deplorable spectacle of seeing how far we still have to go to call ourselves civilized-- certainly not entertainment. |

Something has to be reaaaally creepy to bother me. I think you're lucky in that sense. But when I was a kid the clown doll from Poltergeist really fucked me up. That movie gave me issues... |

| Re: Don't watch scary movies before medicating...... ahhhhhh **** Myers kid eh? mine was Freddy Krueger, i used to have dreams that he was chasing me and i could never get away, no matter how hard i ran, no matter what i did... he was there with his finger blades ready to slice me up. lol one of the scariet scenes in a movie, as a kid. was........... The sick lady in pet semetary 1.......... that lady still haunts me. i saw her for two seconds and broke the fuck out.......... most people dont recall that scene, BUT I DO! |

| Re: Don't watch scary movies before medicating...... I hate scary movies. I wont even watch shows like CSI or Law and Order at night. I tivo them and watch my soaps at night! Talk about a wuss!! Give me a nice romantic comedy (preferably starring Christian Slater) anyday!! |

After returning from a trip in Japan with no meds for 2 weeks and Insomnia from the time change, a friend picked me up to take me to a movie after I was baked. | Re: Don't watch scary movies before medicating...... I love a good horror flick, but there's so few actually GOOD horror flicks these days. My favorites are psychological horror, where they make you THINK, rather than gross you out. The first Saw was a rarity because it was both - though I haven't seen the other two, I would actually like to. My favorite horror film of all time is Alien. There are none better. Don't get me wrong though, I'm all about gore too, just doesn't mean it's a GOOD film if it's gory. Can't wait for Grindhouse though I know I'll either be going by myself or waiting for DVD since the wife won't touch it. |

| Re: Don't watch scary movies before medicating...... I don't know about horror, even tho my wife is on one of the horror boards all the time, and edits Mondo Cult Magazine <www.mondocult.com>. I CAN say that the coolest movie I have seen in a well-meicated state withing the last 18 months is "Ghost Rider". The FX are very cool, and if you're a biker, you'll be cheering in places. I'm prejudiced about these next three, as the actor is a family friend. You can find most of these either on line or at the video store, and I understand that in some areas there is a new Horror Channel on cable. They are, in no particular order" 1) "Count Yorga The Vampire" 2) "The Return of Count Yorga" 3) "Deathmaster" And for you Vincent Price fans, "Dr. Phibes Rises Again", in which our man Bob Quarry plays the hero opposite Mr. Price. As far as medicating with these flicks, I am given to understand that there was much herb consumed on the set (it WAS 1970 or thereabouts, in Hollywood, and a fairly low-budget flick-what would one expect?), and knowing that gives a whole new dimension to the film. I think that Bob Quarry is easily as scary as Lugosi, and more physical. BTW, I LOVE Lugosi's work, and as it happens, his son is my entertainment attorney.... Peace, Blood and Guts, 'bug  |

My bad-I didn't mean to imply that GR is a horror flick, just real cool to watch when medicated, and the most fun movie I have seen in the last year. Just seeing Sam Elliot and Nick Cage do their thing is worth the ticket right there. Admittedly, I am prejudiced because I ride, but this one is some serious fun, especially when NC's head catches on fire for the first time. Some of my favorites are John Carpenter's The Thing, Black Christmas, Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Return of the Living Dead. My favorite new horror movie is Slither. At first it looked derivative of other horror movies, but as I watched it I realized that they were homages to those films. Beyond that there were some cool original ideas and amazing special effects. Alot of fun. |
