As has been suggested in many threads on WT , that anyone under 21 should have a guardian collect thier medications. Just because a few bad apples spoil the access to all who genuinely need the meds.. Does your other half know you have a rec ?. I understand HIPA laws can apply. Both stepdaughters (elder) know and approve. Mummsie went to the grave last December and I didn't tell her. At that point she wasn't a rational functional human being. The couple of years prior I didn't let her know as she was a rigid , and could be somewhat unforgiving soul. And seemed to get more so closer to the end. If I felt I could have discussed in a non-judgmental forum I would have. I think I wanted to tell her , but I never thought she was ready. AND She hated that I did smoke the ganj when younger. My sister , who I love dearly, doesn't know, yet. But I suspect she suspects that I indulge. The fact that it helps my medical condition will help her understand , but she's kinda a straight arrow. I feel comfortable telling her , but I get the feeling she's going to be less trustfull of me and not necessarilly like me being around the nephews. She's prone to overreaction and her miniature husband is like a cross between Napolean and a staunch republican (they are Canadian and very conservative. The proximity makes it very easy for me to ignore their views.) I'll pretty much fess up to anyone else though. Or anyone I feel I have respect for. I like to let people know. I was completely upfront w/ one of my Grandmasters in karate. He didn't even bat an eyelash. I don't really have a "boss" as I am a real estate professional , but I am straight up w/ any clients , IF the topic is broached. Less secrets= more happy. |

If we keep this wonderful medicine a secret,how will others' know? After over 20 years of pain & pills, I would like it known to anyone who knows me, just how MMJ has improved my quality of life. The people who care about me, know how much better I'am & are supportive in every way. NO more pills, NO more medical tests (for now) NO more being a victim of the medical world. Just the natural healing benefits of MJ!! I would scream it from any roof top, MMJ is my answer to many years of misery. Thankyou Mother Nature!   |

My parents already knew I was quite familiar with marijuana and they hated it, so when they found my recommendation there was quite a dispute. They didn't understand it, they think MMJ is bullshit, but now that they see that I get everything done, I keep the house clean, do everything they ask, and succeeding in life they don't say anything. It's nice now that they know everything about me now, I have nothing to hide. Now if only they would let me smoke in the house.. |

I was wrong, they were really understanding, i mean shit if they dont want me to feel happy and healthy, thatd be pretty messed up. |

When I got married back in 1988, my wife still did not know I hit the one hit pipe daily. Honeymooning in Jamaica, I found roaches laying around and would sneak them on the balcony while she was in the shower. At home, I spent many hours in the garage (my office too) and around the house maintaining the yard. I had many stealth ways to get my meds where ever I went, or what ever I was doing. I could tell you stories, but that's another thread, at another time. Anyway, this went on for years & years (12 to be exact). She decided that being a mom and wife was not her cup of tea anymore so we divorced. I got custody of the boys (then ages 10 & 12, now 18 & 20) and I went on to hide it from them. It was not until earlier this year when my oldest son came to me and admitted to smoking herb. It was a relief for me. After 20 years, I no longer have to live that double life. I now can share stoner stories of my youth with him and suddenly, he is listening. I've always been close with my sons but communication has improved one thousand percent. My sons and I have bonded so well since this discovery. And the ex-wife is still in the dark. As it should be. |

Thats a really nice story and makes me feel happy !  I moved out and started traveling at 18 lived in Asia / south america for 4 years or so. So during that part of my life it was quite easy to keep smoking private to my family. My mother and step dad know i used to when i was younger and it was cool as long as i didnt get cought or bring problems back home they would never say anything. But they were not stupid and did know which is more or less the case now i think still. I dont smoke around them and i dont show them my secret garden.. and they dont know i help run a small private medical collective.. I have to admit lately ive felt guilty about not telling them , as in the last year i have dove much deeper in the rabit hole shall we say. But as it stands they live thousands of miles away now and its not somthing i have to come clean about , but maybe i should ? | |
