I am always finding differences between being a recreational toker in the 1970s and now, as a MMJ patient.

The latest has to do with screens for my pipe and the need to change 'em much more often. I don't think it's a case of "faulty screens" - more like "better herb"!

I keep a pipe by the computer and another by the television. I bought some of
the cheap brass screens off Ebay and have to change screens once a week.
And indeed the meds are way better now than the sisties.

Screens just seem so '70s in themselves. Before there was really hardly any glass at all, and wood bowls for bongs and briar/corncob/metal pipes dominated the smoking world (well or was it really joints?).

I hate screens now, and only have them for pure concentrates when I don't feel like using it to top of some bud. I've heard brass is bad for you, or is it copper? I use stainless steel ones, I think they're safer. Whatever floats your boat though.

I have noticed the same thing and was thinking that the screens these days weren't as good as before.
But, it must be all the resin in todays strains that clog the screens up too much.

I've noticed that the past few months, I've been putting new screens in my bong every few weeks. I can pull the old one out and bend it to remove the screen, but it only works a couple of times before the screen is toast. Although I've been smoking better bud these past few months.

Funny, a long time ago I picked up(I dont remember where) a head shop assortment of screens. It is in a large plastic box and has compartments for like 20 different screens. It even has the cool 70's printing on the box. I also have a roll of rolling paper that came of a cigarette machine. I can roll a 30' doobie if I wanted to. I just never had that much weed though...lol

I'm an 80's child so I wouldnt know the difference but as far as the screens go...it's a major pain in the ass to even have to deal with..thats why I prefer a bong ...quick and easy japaneasy no muss no fuss!!!
