I just picked up some og yesterday and some of the nugs had a whole bunch of seeds. The ones that did have seeds had a bunch on it. Other than the seeds, the OG looks amazing and smokes great also. Can anyone explain why there are so much seeds?

well it must have been an outdoor grow and probably the female got pollinated by males miles and miles away....thats only thing i can think, cuz the other option is the grower just didnt care, or had to many plants to pluck the males..and growing og kush thats highly unlikely that he didnt care....

wait isnt og a clone only???? so it musta been my first hypothosis then huh?

It could also have been a hermaphrodite, i've seen some grows when the females will produce male flowers in the last couple weeks which leads to early harvest to avoid it being pollinated.There are a lot of things to cause a plant to hermie out: stress, genetics, etc.So if you grow em keep a special eye out for hermies.

The nugs are possibly from a hermaphrodite plant.

Just a Question can a plant produce seeds from encountering light during the sleep period and also when the plant does produce seeds does it take away from the potency since it has to focus on making seeds and not thc and so on?

light alone cannot produce seeds male pollen is required,some think the plant increases THC to protect the seeds

Seed production takes away from Tissue Generation and that does somewhat affect Trichomes.
Your main concern should be , what was the germinating male strain (assuming it wasn't a Hermie)
A Hermie would most likely be produced in an Indoor grow w/ only one strain!

plant, label, clone, keep mothers, turn'em and see what u got. if it is really og and they aren't hermaphrodite u will have something nice.

the plant was prolly hermied, that usually decreases potency. Ive never had nugs with alotta seeds thats been good, Id take it back.
