Best wishes to you and yours. I'm going through the same stuff. I'm on my 3rd set of injections right now into my SI joint and lower lumbar areas. The injections are leading up to a major surgery either disc fusion, total disk replacement, axia lif or SI joint stabalization. If you need anything dont hesitate to hola at me.

You and my WT'r family are always in my prayers, but I'll make a special exception for ya Walla Walla and also include lots of positive thoughts for a speedy recovery.

I had that done to my neck twice. Once from the back and once from the front for the fusion.

The front was easier and I elected to use donor bone for the fusion rather than sacraficing my own hip bone because those who went before me said the hip bone surgery was worse than the actual fusion surgery.

I wish and pray you have as good a result as I had and a return to wellness.

I have L3, L4, L5 and S1 that they are going to fix and fuse together so I gather it will be a long recovery from what I am told! The doctor told me today about a Morphine pump and I declined it!!! I do thank everybody !! I yes I do have a laptop, we bought it just for this reason. I am hooking up dsl and I am going to keep my AOL until after I get out so I can be online at hospital!!lol

The injections just did not work for me. So I must have the surgery and hopefully it will help!! I am not looking forward to being sliced and diced, but they say I must do it!!

Dats what they did with my neck.

I went with the "other" bone for the fusion as I was told by many I met who had the same operation that using your own hip bone was worse than the actual spine surgery.

Yes, the healing will take time to insure the bones fuse properly and most likely some sort of brace to keep you aligned during recovery...

I was SO tired of the hard neck brace, then the soft brace...

If I may offer one lil tip prior to the surgery, please practice getting up from a seated position and keep your nose over your toes...

A little practice will build muscle memory and some leg strength...

I only offer as we haven't met and I don't know your physical conditioning, but it may save some pain...

I was lucky. My back didn't get injured that bad and the mmj cures the pain so that I can at least get things done. When I stop the edibles, the pain comes back with a vengance. Fortunately, it's a stalemate for now. I'm gonna be real, real careful. Also, I keep saying this, nobody's listening. Drink hemp protein powder with hemp milk. You can make all sorts of smoothies with it and you can add your meds too. It's the prefect protein and it's got lots of omega oil so your immune system gets a big boost, trace minerals for superior brain function. Super food.

My knees come and go with the weather, this rain storm is warm, no pain.

The head injury is subsiding little by little, hopefully no complications.

...feet are okay.

Shoulder, neck, and jaw are ...okay.

What else...teeth are next. Drill me, bay-bee.

Still recuperating from the deposition, hfs.

Oh, you can still use a computer from your recovery bed. There's all sorts of devices you can use to operate a computer. This laptop is voice activated and does voice to text and such...video cam, mic, wireless, and the monitor is freaking amazing. ...you can do the WallaWalla Show from your bed. Bed Pan Hour... ...Who's Having Re-Hab Fun? ...Sponge Bath! ...THAT Fucking Hurt. ha.

I'm doing surgery on three guitars this weekend, finally. No doubt, as soon as I get the guitars and my system setup, ...I'll have to go to court and deal with the bull-

It's a mind game now. Just imagine yourself a few days out of surgery, relaxing. Let let the process happen, trust. Bring real positive vibes to the surgeon, they can sense that. high buddy i had back surgery in 1996 when i was 19 and i wished i never did.right now i have 3 disc that have denigrated and 7 more that are protruding a bone spur in my neck and stoneis in my neck also. i wish they never touch me but i was in pain,the pain went away but look at me now I'm only 33 and I'm back in pain worse then before,long story short is there anyway u can not have surgery and try something else my bud.not to scare you but can u put it off and try something else.my Dr says my back is that of a 70 year old man,but i keep on doing what i want thx to mmj and prescription drugs...

I implore you to read the inroduction to a book called " Evolve Your Brain " by Dr. Joe DiSpenza (sp?) . He was able to heal a devastating back injury of his own - on his own. Otherwise wishing you the best of luck and a speedy recovery.
