Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

I was recently told my back pain is from bilateral kidney stones, and damn do they hurt. Anyone have suggestions how to deal with them? Or doctor referrals for the SFV area?

Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

Drink lots of water, and see a doctor as soon as possible.

You want to know if they are small enough to come out on their own or if they have to be taken out. They may cause infections and they aren't really stones.

Rather, they're jagged little bits, they look like tiny bits of coral. You get them for a variety of reasons, but if they're too big they need to be pulled out of you or blasted.

Call your regular doctor and get a referral. If you don't have a regular doctor emergency rooms see this all the time and can usually give you the name of someone, if that's where you ended up when you found out about this.

The biggest mistake I made was waiting for six months before I had mine removed. It was agony. Don't put yourself through this.

Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

I'm sorry you're going through the pain, I've had em twice, both times they passed on their own, painfully. My secret, although in no way do I codone, suggest, you do it, but I knew it was gonna pass, I felt it moving into my penis, so I just started pounding tequila, beer and taking bong rips and after most the fifth of tequila about 4 beers and about a dozen hits it happened. A little I dont know how to discribe it, butr a little thing flew out, real little, but it hurt, I mean this whole process was probably 30 minutes and I was in tears but when it was done I felt sooo much better, I just wore sweat pants for a few days. Your man parts are a bit tender for a couple days after.

Unhappy Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

LOTS OF WATER AND LOTS OF CUSSING!:cursing:I FEEL YOUR PAIN, HAD KIDNEY STONES TWICE AND THE FIRST TIME THEY PUT ME ON MY ASS. COULDN'T WALK AND THE PAIN RADIATED FROM MY LOWER BACK ALL THE WAY AROUND TO THE GROIN AREA. FELT LIKE SOMEONE WAS TAKING A DOUGH ROLLER AND DIGGING AND GRINDING IT INTO MY ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF MY BACK, SIDE, AND PELVIC AREA. RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AND AFTER DIAGNOSING, HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP, IN ORDER TO HAVE THEM EXTRACTED BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO BIG TO PASS. GUESS WHAT, THEY EXTRACT THE STONES THROUGH YOUR URINARY TRACT! IF YOU HAVE THIS PROCEDURE, BE PREPARED AT LEAST FOR TWO MORE WEEKS OF PAIN AFTER THIS OPERATION EVERY TIME YOU HAVE TO URINATE. THE EXTRACTION OF THE STONES LEAVES YOU URINATING BLOOD AND HURTS SO BAD THAT YOU WILL NOT WANT TO HAVE TO GO USE THE RESTROOM. THERE ARE OTHER PROCEDURES NOWADAYS SUCH AS HAVING THE STONES BROKEN UP WHILE YOU SIT IN A TUB OF WATER AND SOME KIND OF ULTRASOUND SENDS WAVES TO THE AREA TO BREAK UP THE STONES IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO PASS THEM NATURALY WHILE URINATING. THAT'S MY EXPERIENCE, DO NOT WISH TO SCARE YOU BUT JUST BEING STRAIGHT UP WITH YOU AND YOU'LL KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT IF THESE TWO PROCEDURES ARE WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH. NOT SOMETHING I WISH ON ANYBODY. IT COMPARES TO A WOMAN IN LABOR PAIN THE DOC TOLD ME.

Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

I currently have bilateral kidney stones approximately 2 to 5 mm each. I am not looking at passing them, but maybe have them taken care of at the hospital...

Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

I've had stones before. Didnt require surgery or anything to get them out thank god, however they did use ultrasound to try and break them up to ease passing. Worked I guess....

might want to ask about it before goin under a knife. a simple ultrasound, same as a pregnancy type one, I guess the sonic waves help break it up or somethin fancy and medical like that.

I know it feels like someone took a baseball bat to your back, good luck man.

Re: Suggestions for dealing with kidney stones???

Hey buddy, long time no talk, try this. You're going to be drugged out and inoperable perhaps for a few days, but this absolutely works. Get yourself a prescription of diazepam (valium). Valium has unique qualities besides its intended ones. One very interesting thing about diazepam is its ability to relax the sphincters around the urinary piping by a great degree. You will be wobbly from the diazapam, and I cannot recommend dosage for obvious reasons. This is one area where I HIGHLY recommend using this pharmaceutical. When your pipes are loose, you will pass it, along with probably a whole bunch of 0.25mm ones that they weren't able to diagnose, which would cause future problems. That plus licorice, anise, cardamon, are all cleansing tonics for the kidneys and onward.

Good Luck!
