Rep Power: 0 | Marijuana smoking + toxins Ok my doctor said I have to lower amount of marijuana use drastically to remove all heavy metals from my body. Test very high. Now is eating edibles and vaping going to eleminate the toxins because i'm not inhaling it through smoke because its hard for me to believe the herb alone could be bad for health? |

| Re: Marijuana smoking + toxins If the toxins are in the cannabis, (MJ sucks up metals and is sometimes has copper residue), so will the edibles or vaping. To be honest, I can't imagine there being enough heavy metals to affect anyone. (except copper) Tap water likely has 10,000's of times more heavy metals like lead, copper, zinc and tin. Maybe a good question for your Doc? Are they an MD or a Alternative medicine doctor? |

Since mj has limited research on the exact effects/chemicals/metals it releases it only benefits his diagnosis to remove the outside variables.... give it 1 month off, have him test you before and after to see if it effected it or not, so you can/ cant? continue use... IMO listen to your doc. |

Rep Power: 25508 | Re: Marijuana smoking + toxins I would ask the doctor which metals are the highest. As this might lead to the were these heavy metals are coming from. I agree with Platypus copper is the only likely metal from produce. Unless the herb is grown in contaminated soil. And even if your copper levels are high, how do you know its from the sacred herb. Could be from any vegetable or fruit that happens to have some copper in its soil. (Most sources of copper comes from sludge that is spread onto fields prior to planting.) If its mercury, I would suspect fish. Lead? Now thats a different problem. That could be coming form anywhere. Examples: paint, vertical blinds, some plastic products. Many products from China have lead, and are labeled as such. Perhaps your body is having trouble removing even small amounts of heavy metals. Given that situation levels could become dangerous high. Researchers refer to something called the Mercury Mystery. It seems that two different people can eat the same amount of mercury laden fish, and then have different blood lead levels, 24 hours later. There is a long term study being conducted into this "Mercury Mystery". Lastly, I would listen to your doctor. I'll share some of my detox regimes (make sure you consult your doctor): Colonic Sauna Vit. C Flush theres also something called Chelation therapy ask your doctor about it. This is an IV treatment, I have heard of chelation thru an oral pill. Last edited by Dieselworks; 11-11-2008 at 08:53 PM.. Reason: switch mercury and fish oops |
