Rep Power: 27688 | I was recently asked about clinical research on cannabis-based harm reduction. It exists. It is effective. I saw it practiced professionally at CHAMP by PhDs, and it really works. Put harmless marijuana between an alcoholic and his next drink and he drinks less, if only while he's smoking that joint. It's no joke. I know alcoholics that swear by it. And I know there is research on it and I'd like to collect it here as usual. A good start would be Dr Todd Mikuriya's research. For those that don't know, the late Dr. Todd Mikuriya put the scientific foundations under medical marijuana with his book "Medical Marijuana" in the eighties I think. Here is a link to one of his papers on cannabis based harm reduction which cites further research. http://www.mikuriya.com/cw_alcsub.pdf |
