There is currently a runoff election taking place May 19, 2009 in Los Angeles that has two people that need & deserve our support .

Carmen Trutanich is in a run off with Council Member Jack Weiss for City Attorney. Carmen has expressed to some of our reps that he does and will support reasonable regulation for MMJ collectives (And agreed to write it right with imput from the MMJ Community) within the City of Los Angeles unlike our current City attorney whom Jack Weiss will resemble. Jack has consistently voted against our issue’s while sitting on the City Council. And is not our friend.


Paul Koretz is in a run off for Jack Weiss’ seat on the City Council against David T. Vahedi . Paul has past history for MMJ in that he sat on the West Hollywood City Council that where the first to allow MMJ Collectives in their city in So Cal and served on the State Assembly. Paul has been a long time Advocate of MMJ and deserves our votes. Mr. Vahedi does not appear to make his stance clear on our issue’s.

All MMJ Patients in LA should get out the vote and Vote these folks into office so that they will work for our issue’s. If you choose to donate funds make sure they know why otherwise take the time to go to the polls on May 19 and cast a vote for Pauul Koretz and Carmen Trutanich .

I just want to add: Never judge a book by it's cover. Trutanich is supported by the right wing even though he is a former criminal defense attorney. Weiss is supported by the left wing largely, and is against MMJ. Go figure.

Not more than 15 minutes ago, I got one of those telephone survey people, asking me if I'd be voting for Jack Weiss in the upcoming election.

I asked her, what his stance was on medical cannabis. She said that she wasn't aware, and was simply conducting a survey.

I informed her, that he wasn't, and that until he learned to respect the rights of the sick and dying, he'd never get my vote.

She paused (dead silence for about 3 seconds), and then she just said "Thank you"...click!

Maybe someone could talk to WT about an every page banner, Since CA LA is where a lot of things start for our movement HOWS bout a banner like buy WT CD I think as important.
