| Re: Pork and Beans and Pot this my 'no fail' crowd pleasin baked beans recipe: when i cook i don't really measure anything because all my recipes are from my two remaining brain cells Lg can pork and beans a good handful of brown sugar 4 slices of bacon 'crispy' ketchup (to your desired tatse) 1/2 a small onion 1/2 a cup or handful of good bud a tsp of mustard fry bacon and onions together, onions around outside of pan. i only use cast iron for cooking. Now pour in beans, add all other ingredients. You can make these stovetop beans but i put my cast iron skillet in the oven at 250 degrees for about an hour. Very tasty, even without the pot, there is never any left. And get ready for a nap!! Last edited by justmetimothy; 11-14-2006 at 05:56 AM.. |
