Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

I'll be adding to this list as time goes on. I'm a 15 year migraine sufferer and sometimes my migraines last days, weeks, and ug sometimes even like now months. So I try to go the herbal route as much as possible, but when the migraines get bad, real bad, the smoke can aggrevate my head even more, so for you migraine sufferers out there here are some tasty treats that work for my bouts of pain......

Medicated espresso cubes...

Begin brewing a 10 ounce cup of espresso, you could substitute with coffee but caffiene can help migraines so I just go with the espresso.
Now take about 3 ounces of half and half and place in a small pot, get your full melt hash and break into nice small peices, start to heat the half and half, once it begins to boil remove from heat and add the hash and stir untill hash is completly disovled, if its good full melt it will disolve right away. Now add the espresso and hash/creme together and stir well, then pour into an ice cube tray.

I make these when I feel a migraine coming on because they can be ready in a short period of time. Each cube, if you use an 1/8 of hash comes out to a dose of about .38 grams.

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

Hashsicles...

I really like this one, it's real good for head pain, the coldness seems to help a bit as well. It's easy to add your own taste to this also. This is what I use.

1 pot
1 6 peice popsicle mold kit from the kid isle at the grocery store, or little dixie cups
6 greentea bags
honey
1/8 full melt hash
popsicle sticks

So add enough water to fill popsicle molds to the pot, add tea bags to pot, bring to boil, add honey, let simmer for 5 minutes, remove from heat, remove tea bags, add hash and stir untill disolved, then ever so slightly grease the inside of the molds, I've sometimes had trouble with the popsicle coming out whole, only twice. Freeze overnight and enjoy, fairly potent here though, if you got the popsicle mold of 6 like I do, then your Hashsicles will come out just over .6 grams per Hashsicle.

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

Oh my gosh that is SO awesome. Thanks for those tips, I didn't even think about that. I don't have migraines as often as I used to, but smoke never aggravated my head pain as much. But when I do get migraines, they hit QUICK and when I feel a real bad one coming on, I want something quick. This definitely sounds a lot more appealing than popping an Imitrex. Imitrex always worked, I will not lie, but then it also made me sick to my stomach and tingly so I'll be damned if I did, and damned if I didn't...

Well if you want you can skip the freezing process on the coffee cubes and add it straight to the coffee and get the medication in ya in about 10 minutes. I'll be throwing out some more recipies soon so keep watching.

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

Down and Out Brownies...
First you will need 7 grams high grade hash, 3.5 grams of kief, and 14 grams of high grade cannabis. Yeah, down and out.

1 cup butter or margerine, melted-while melting add hash-make sure it all disloves, its key
2 cups sugar
1 cup flour-in a bowl combine flour and 7 grams of cannabis together and grind together untill finlely ground.
2/3 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk-add 3.5 grams of ground cannabis and warm milk before adding-add other 3.5 grams of cannabis to batter
3 tea spoons vanilla extract
1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips semi sweet
1 (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated

preheat oven to 350, In a large bowl combine hash infused butter, sugar, pot infused flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, pot infused milk, and 1and1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, beat well. Spread in greased 13x9 baking pan. Bake fo about 35-40 minute, just before brownies are done, heres comes the kief, in a heavy saucepanmelt the chocolate chips with swettened condensed milk and the remaining vanilla etract, as soon as it is almos all melted add the 3.5 grams of kief, stir well for a minute or so, this has to be do as the brownies are about to be removed from the oven though. Immediately spread fosting over brownies and you've got your self some good migraine treatment. About 2. grams of medication per brownie if you cut em in to 12 squares, but remember, its not 2. grams of cannabis, it's a combonation of hash, cannabis and kief.

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

Yeah I gotta go to my neurologist this wednesday, I found some info on some migraines that I want to over with her. Something called NDPH, and they can last years, unrersponsive to meds, pain doesnt change, and 82% of people suffering from this can tell you the day it started, me too, april 16th. Theres a few differences for me but still many similarities.

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

i too can name the day it started i had never had one b4 and i started with cluster h/a at 8 to 10 per day for weeks at a time.when the pot does not help i put one tab of maxalt under my tongue and the headache is gone in 20 min. for maybe a few days of relief.but it is $10. a pill.now i might have one every 6 months to a year.but my consumption has gone up too.so there might be something to this...i'll go test that theory now

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

My tincture recipie......

1 ounce ground buds in a mason jar, cover with 750 ml 151 rum, seal jar and store in a dark room for a month, shake twice a day. Normally you'd strain and evaporate and be done, but why not make it stronger? So take another ounce of ground up buds in a mason jar and cover with the 151 rum you strained from the first batch, now we're getting more potent, let sit for 30 days shaking twice a day, the strain through 2 layers of cheesecloth and pour into a open mouthed pitcher and cover pitcher with a single layer of cheese cloth, now place pitcher in front of a fan for 2-3 days to let a little excess water and alcohol evaporate then bottle up in small eydropper bottles. Potent tincture. I usually add 3-5 grams of kief to the second soaking of bud. Enjoy!

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

Well I stand by my recipies, they all work for me and almost no edibles ever work. So these should, I say should work for about everyone, they're all potent, just be carefull of the brownies. I had to mention to cut them small if your not familiar with edibles, I've had a few friends, all patients, that werent ready for the effects and had to be drivin home.

The brownies definitely seem potent, and I will give them a try when I have more flowers on hand.

I am going to try the ice cube recipe this weekend except im going to make coffeemate hazlenut cubes and put one in my coffee.

Im so excited! :)

Re: Migraine sufferers edibles and some drinks

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Hash Oil Cookies....

ingredients..2.5 grams of hash oil, 1 gram kief
1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 3 tablespoons of cocoa, 1/4 of butter
1/4 of peanut butter,1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
2 cups of quaker instant oats...

this is a quick process, 5 minutes maybe so be ready.
in a medium pot combine sugar, milk, vanilla extract, butter, and cocoa, stirring constantly untill boiling, keep stirring and let boil for 1 and a half minutes, add peanut butter, keep stirring, take off heat, add hash oil and kief, stir real good now, add oats and stir real good, they should get thick. Just take by the spoonful and place on a plate and place in the fridge for about 10 minutes and your good to go!

Makes about 12 cookies, .2 grams of oil per cookie plus a little kief.

A cheaper wasy to do the alcohol method, still very effective, tastes more greener is instead of using bacardi 151, use 100% rubbing alcohol. I've found it at Home Depot for about $5 for 1 quart.

you cannot drink rubbing alcohol. plus if its 100% rubbing alcohol it probably has benzine in it which is a poison. please DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL FOR A TINCTURE!!!!
